My recent purchase of a new Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Plain Top was a fantastic experience. This is my second purchase from Sweetwater (Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass) with Cory Medina as my Sales Engineer. I couldn't be more pleased with both. Cory kept me update to date with each step in the order fulfillment process. My Les Paul arrived on time and in perfect condition. This guitar is beautiful. As much as i looked for imperfections in them manufacturing process, the product is near flawless. Neck & fretboard are perfect. Body and finish are outstanding. Worth mentioning, the nitro finish is a little thin in the binding area in a few areas, but doesn't seem like anything to fret about.

Really? What can you say? Everything...everything is spot-on...amazing. Amazing feel, amazing sound, amazing action, amazing look. Solid. Single-block mahogany. Bright, beefy pickups. You can just beat it to death or slow it down and get incredible tones only an LP can produce. I have run it through a Marshall JCM-800 stomp box and a "clean" amp. Umph!!! OMG. Cut to just clean. Ooof! It's the best guitar I've owned...well, at least the best one I've bought. I'm over the moon to have a Les Paul again, and this one beats the sunburst I had many years ago. So happy!!!

My ebony top Les Paul Standard arrived quickly and was packaged very well. My cool sales engineer (Reed) even sent some nice Hi-Def pics of the guitar while I was waiting. Seeing it in person helps you appreciate how classic looking ebony top LP's are, and that tone... so sweet! I've also bought other items from Sweetwater with no issues. I'm very pleased so far. Let's start out by saying that Sweetwater's customers service is second to none my first Les Paul shipped to me damaged I immediately notified my sales engineer and they sent out another Les Paul immediately and I received it within two days and the guitar is perfect I love this Gibson Les Paul no flaws plays amazingly and couldn't be happier I've bought numerous guitar's from Sweetwater and as always every one has been Excellent and enjoyable to play can't say enough about the Sweetwater team and a big Thank you to Jonah for taking care of all my needs and will always look to get my gear from Sweetwater in the future

I've played a Strat for the last 20 years. Right now I'm in a project where a les paul is a better fit. I've played some pretty bad les pauls in the last few years, and just assumed that Gibson was giving up on quality and making money on the name. This standard is a very nice guitar. It has the tone and sustain that you want from a les paul. It plays beautifully, intonation is perfect, and it just sings. I won't be going back to the Strat any time soon.

First time Gibson owner. Heavy but, thats to be expected (of course). Re-recorded a rock rhythm track I had done with another guitar that I wasn't happy with. This guitar brought that track to life. The Gibson Les Paul is definitely a flavor you want in your collection if you're making music. Its a wildly different guitar from anything else I own, but thats a good thing if you want to keep things interesting. It arrived playing great as is. My only concern was that dang G string we ALL have problems with on any guitar, but again, to be expected. May change tuning machines. Overall though, wonderful instrument and I intend to get ALOT of things out of it for many years to come.

Once again another perfect experience working with David Mikautadze and his team. I had been waiting to find a Gibson LP from the new custom color series for a few weeks. Couldn't decide on a color, and was also holding out in hopes of finding a guitar on the lighter side. Not only was David very helpful in closing the deal once I made a color choice, but he and the team went above and beyond to provide a late swap so that I could grab a lighter guitar that was posted after we had made our initial order.

Also highly recommend the optional set-up service. I know that "playable right out of the box" is a tired phrase at this point, but the set-up really was perfect after just a simple tuning. Great low action and no fret buzz. Still playing without any adjustments after a full week. Same very fast, secure shipping from Sweetwater as always, too.
