Amazing

By Michael Cavallaro from NORTH WALES, PA on March 11, 2024

I got this on a whim but man am I happy I did. I started a few weeks back by adding a higher end Epiphone to my Epi Studio but it didn't click. Noah at Sweetwater was great helping me navigate the return and not only this purchase but a new Fender American Pro Strat too. The entire process of the return and both orders was great and Noah was able to adjust products last minute based on my changes. Sweetwater is now my go to for gear.

As for the LP, it's amazing. Near perfect right out of the box. This was a demo but man, it beats the condition of anything you buy new hanging up in some other stores. Plus, the color has a little green iridescent to it when you catch it at the right angle, which I really like. It's only been a few days but so far I'm loving this Standard. Needless to say, the Studio is out the door.

Best Guitar I Could Every Hope For

By Dan Reigstad from LONGVIEW, TX on February 15, 2024

I'll start by saying I LOVE my new Gibson Les Paul Standard 60's in Blueberry Burst. To start with, the sound is amazing from the pickups in the guitar. The sound is much different than an Epiphone Les Paul Studio I have. The looks are the second highlight of the guitar. After lengthy research into the Les Paul versions and I decided on the Standard 60's, I showed the color options to my wife. She instantly picked the Blueberry Burst. I can tell you in every picture and video I have seen of it, it looks really good. In real life, I was amazed at first impression. The 3rd thing that I love about it is the slimmer neck. It is easy to get around on the neck and feels very smooth. The frets and neck sides are very smooth also. Overall, I am extremely please with the guitar.

I understand the Grover tuners that come on this guitar are good, and I have those tuners on my Epiphone Les Paul, but I had Sweetwater swap them out before shipping it to me with the Grover locking tuners. I also added the Schaller strap locks too for the strap. Just a little safer feeling handling a guitar that cost this much, I think it was well worth it to do that. The case is very good and I feel it will do a great job in protecting the guitar.

In closing, I can also add that Sweetwater is a great place to buy a guitar or anything music related. Great selection, and they let you see actual pictures of the individual guitars and include their weight and serial numbers for you to pick which one you want. Mine weighed in an 9 lb 6 oz, so that is nice to have it a little lighter than most.

Gibson Nailed It!

By Darmark7 from Lehigh Acres, FL on December 12, 2023 Music Background: Gigging Musician

I have had this guitar for a few months now. I've had time to practice a lot with it and even do a couple gigs so I feel I can now give a good review of the guitar. A plus for me is that Gibson ships their Les Pauls with 10-46 gauge strings and that is what I use. The PLEK system Gibson uses nailed it on this guitar. Right out of the box this guitar was set up right. Great action, no fret buzz and intonation is spot on.
Now about the looks… I have looked this guitar over and the workmanship is to perfection. The Blueberry Burst is the reason I had to get this guitar (I already have 3 other Les Pauls). When my father seen it he said it was the best looking guitar he has seen. At our last gig, before we had begun, I had it hanging on its Hercules stand and a guy from the audience came up to the stage to get a look. After a while he asked my wife if he could get a better look so she picked it up and showed him. He was looking at it with an awe look in his eyes and then asked her where I got it from.
I am 100% satisfied with the guitar and I want to thank my Sweetwater rep Tyler for helping make it happen.

Blueberry burst delight

By Derrick Slaten from Monroe Michigan on November 24, 2023 Music Background: Classic rock and metal. Vocals, guitar and harp.

Over the years I've owned several Gibson Les Pauls. Right out of the box this guitar played and looked incredible. The new quality standards at Gibson really shine through on these guitars. I absolutely love the plecked frets and gorgeous paint job. Super happy with my purchase of this instrument. Once again I have to give a big thanks and shout out to my long time salesman Andy Rice. Andy is very knowledgeable about Sweetwater products and inventory. Always a pleasure to work with him.

Blueberry Burst on point

By Brian from Arizona on November 10, 2023 Music Background: 40+ years of playing electric guitar (rock/electric blues/heavy metal)

Everything about this Gibson is on point. No issues with the body, fret board, binding, etc. The color on the maple cap is beautiful with the blue and some purple swirls around the toggle switch and the cutaway horn. Burstbucker pickups have great tone. The string height was perfect. The case is in perfect shape as well. Everything was great right out of the case, and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the guitar.

My Sales rep. Shaka, upgraded my delivery and threw in a Gibson T-shirt and Gibson restoration kit.

Definitely get yourself on of these guitars!

Just what I was looking for!

By Joe Rivas from Ventura, CA on January 24, 2024

It's been 4 months now that I have owned this thing, a handful of his and a bunch of rehearsals. This Les Paul 60's Standard feels great in my hands. It looks gorgeous. I did change out the pickups for a SD Custom (bridge) and Pearly Gates (neck), and now with the combo of my gear, I have the tone I've been chasing for sometime now.

The setup wasn't that great, maybe it got seriously jostled in shipping? The action was super high and yet there was fret buzzing on the higher register strings. I don't know, I had to have my guy give it a proper setup, but it plays perfectly now!
