Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s Plain Top Electric Guitar - Pelham Blue Reviews
Inspired by the legendary Les Pauls of the late 1950s, Gibson’s Les Paul Standard ’50s Plain Top delivers all the best of golden-era Gibson tones, looks, and vibe. This guitar’s mahogany body and maple top deliver a one-two sonic punch of warmth and clarity, marked by the mammoth sustain that’s defined the Les Paul since 1952. Under the hood, two Burstbucker pickups brim with an open, airy, and dynamic PAF-style punch. Fans of a chunky neck will be sure to appreciate the old-school chunk of the mahogany neck’s ’50s Vintage profile, while the 12-inch-radius Indian rosewood fingerboard’s 22 frets are Plek’d to perfection. A thin nitrocellulose finish completes the package, allowing your guitar gracefully age and develop over time — just like Gibson’s original 1950s Les Pauls!

Great guitar, love the color, great Sweetwater service
This guitar is great. Sounds awesome, plays great, I love the color -- Pelham Blue. I was a little worried the color would be too light of a blue color based on the pictures from Sweetwater. They have super bright lighting in the studio, so it made the Pelham Blue look a lot lighter than it is. In my home, it can look light sometimes, but never as light as in the pictures. Most of the time it looks like a darker blue, which is what I wanted. As far as how it plays, the guitar is perfect. I love the 50s neck and it was set up nice. I think the pickups sound amazing. Just a great guitar all around. And like always, awesome service from Sweetwater. Evan Hall was a pleasure to work. He was super responsive and sent the guitar out quickly.
