Best Les Paul!!!
Thanks to Sweetwater I was able to purchase the guitar I really wanted. 36 months interest free was an excellent option. As for the guitar its everything I expected. A custom shop lemon burst weighing 8.5 lbs. I don't care what anyone says these custom shops are definitely above any standard Les Paul. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.The craftsmanship and the overall tone is unreal.
The Perfect Guitar
I bought the R8 in lemon burst sight unseen but I knew going into it that the 58 Les Paul neck was perfect for my hands and playing style. A local shop has had some to try over the years. I knew I wanted a plain top R8 specifically in lemon burst. The guitar I received exceeds my wildest expectations— my wildest dreams. Fit and finish, playability, the setup… The sound through my Princeton is what really blows me away. I'm not sure if it's the Custombucker pickups, the resonance of the plain top, or what, but… Holy woman tone. (Google "guitar woman tone.") People refer to Jimmy Page's 59 Number One as the "Holy Grail." Clapton's 60 Beano Burst. With all due respect, the Holy Grail of Les Pauls is innocently sitting in its stand in the corner of my sound room.
