Gibson Custom 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS - Double Gold Reviews
If you bought a Les Paul back in ’56, you would have gotten your hands of the rare combination of P-90 pickups and an adjustable ABR-1 bridge. Now, you can obtain that same coveted combo with the Gibson Custom 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue. Enjoy the fat snarl of the P-90s, along with the intonation and sustain of the ABR-1. And, of course, you get the chunky neck that was standard issue back in ’56. The 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue is a unique beast. If you're a Les Paul aficionado, you’ll want to get your hands of this one.

Gibson 56 Goldtop Reissue
Great guitar! Fairly lightweight for one of these. Very resonant. Love the P90's, they sound incredible. Nice chunky neck but very comfortable to play, not overwhelming. Beautiful double gold finish. Outstanding customer service from Jeff Weinstein as always!!

This instrument has outstanding tone and workmanship. It's always fun to take a road trip to the store and chat with my Ace Sales Associate (Joe Perrone). I asked Joe to pick one out (good selection with four in stock) for me. Sweetwater's sales and service have made me a 20+ year loyal customer.
This Les Paul has a gold top (duh) which is aesthetically pleasing and timeless. The P90 pickups are just hot enough to project a subtle scooping of the midrange. The sustain is right up there with Nigel's 59 (aaaaaaaaaahhhh). Seriously, this is a truly a magical guitar.
I play through low wattage Fender Tweed reproductions (shoutout to Franklyn Amps) that capture all the charm and chime you could ever ask for. If you play in a garage band then a 56 Les Paul paired with an 5F11 is all you'll ever need.
