Not all guitars are created equally. Yes it cost more than some but I'm a firm believer that 8.5 times out of 10 you get what you pay for. This guitar was masterfully created. From the choice of wood to every single gap and joint to the amazingly simple but PURE tones the electronics generate. Wanted a guitar that was just pure tone and would simply "amplify" what I played and be an extension of what I'm playing. Got just that and so much more! Thank you to Ashton and the Sweetwater team!

Rocknroll Beast!
I've had a VOS about 12 years ago, but had to part with it to buy tires for the wife. That guitar is gone and so is the wife. I'd always wanted to get one again and bite the bullet and got this one. It's financed, folks, so I can afford it that way. And it was too killer of a deal to pass up for one of my favorite guitars. These were student guitars back in the late 50's. The P-90 has some twang, but a warm sounding twang. The neck is a nice baseball bat '58 as you would expect. I'm not a fan of plastic tuners, but this is supposed to be down to the specs. Totally dig the tortoise shell pickguard. Had all of the case candy. The case doesn't even say, 'Gibson' on it. That was kinda weird. For the price, I would've expected a guitar strap or sticker. I'd bought a TV Special dc for $1500 and got a strap. Oh well. I'm still digging the guitar! Finally got one of my bucket list guitars again.
