Epiphone 7-string Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins Electric Guitar - Ebony Reviews
Hunting for that perfect balance of brutal tone and versatile features? The new Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins 7-string is your winning bet. This long-awaited collaboration features a mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, and custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups, all designed with input from Matt Heafy (Trivium, Capharnaum, Ibaraki). This staggering guitar pairs modern bells and whistles with a nostalgic look that's inspired by the first Les Paul that Matt owned. Sweetwater guitarists are quite impressed with the value and craftsmanship this guitar displays. Though designed for heavy-hitting metal tone, the two Fishman pickups onboard leverage a huge number of voicings for tonal alchemy that turns any playing style into pure gold.

Love It!!
This is my first Les Paul and 7 string, so it was super exciting to use this for the first time. Especially as a Trivium fan, I saw this guitar as an absolute win and loved it as soon as I plugged it into my setup!
Blown away!
The fit and finish on this guitar is excellent. I cant find a single flaw on this thing. The pickups have so many different tones, it's probably overkill. I have another guitar with Fishmans, but I like these better. The neck, while much thinner than other Les Paul's feels great and having the 7th string, is just right to be able to still make that stretch from the 1st fret to the 5th fret easy enough. The locking tuners make changing strings so much easier. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the strap buttons. You're not going to get a new leather strap over those things, but if you have an old strap that you love that falls off of regular strap buttons, these will hold it on. Epiphone did a great job getting this thing as close to a Gibson LP Custom as possible. The case is nice to have as well cause I did not want this sitting on one of my guitar racks.
