The Latin Percussion Aspire Series Conga Set makes a perfect instrument for everyone, from beginners to students to performing musicians. Constructed from 2-ply Siam oak, each of the two 28-inch-tall congas in the Aspire Series Conga Set is equipped with reliable, rugged hardware, comfortable EZ Curve rims, robust tuning lugs, a tuning wrench, and natural rawhide heads. A Great Set of Congas
I bought a set of these and they sound great and look great. Of particular note is how easy they are to set up. The stand has a memory collar that, after you adjust the height, you lock in place. Then, in the future, when you slide the top of the stand into the bottom tripod, it automatically goes right to the correct position.
Also, the drums attach to the stand by just sliding them into the top of the stand. No screws, wingnuts or wingbolts are needed. To take down, you just lift the conga off the stand. Super easy!
Congas for a small space
They're beautiful and they sound great to me. For a small basement studio, they seem like the right fit. Recorded a bit with a pair of Sennheiser M 421 II's and am confident they'll sound great when blended in with the rest of the band. The stand seems quite sturdy and reliable for such an inexpensive set. Very happy.
