I have the LP Aspire congas, and the LP Aspire bongos. So I figured this was a no-brainer decision. It works, and it holds the two together, and it's pretty solid. If that's all you look for then this is ok. But I don't think it's perfected yet. For one, it seems a little expensive for what it is, knowing all sorts of other drum hardware with this amount of metal & parts could be sold for almost half the price. That's why I held off buying this for several years.

Like another reviewer says on here, I think the strap is too short. I had to go to the extreme end of its length just to get the bongos to fit, and I remind you I have exclusively LP Aspire components, no mis-match going on here. I would like to see some more adjustments too. The adjustment that doesn't do it for me is the angle of the 'L'. If you open it up to a wide angle, the bongos are too far away, and if you pull them closer, you run into the congas. The teeth on the angle adjustment that keeps them tight doesn't really have enough angle resolution, so most of the possibilities are - well - impossible. So you have maybe only two choices, A or B. Having a depth and/or height adjustment might improve the possibilities, but there really could be better angle adjustment at least.

This unit is well crafted and really holds the bongos in place. I would like to see the unit made with a slightly longer strap though. My bongos are LPs and the fit was still very snug.

First of all, I am using this mount with the Gibraltar double conga stand and everything fit and went together perfectly !
The only thing that I would ask for on this is a height adjustment on the mount and angle adjustment on the bongo bracket... both of which can be addressed with shims.... all in all... Fantastic mount !

This piece is great. Solid like someone else commented. Works on Aspire and Matador Conga stands BUT if your bongo is a more advanced model that isn't a Matador, the strap won't wrap around all the way. It'll be short of the hook opening for the strap.
The long bolt with the wing nut in this case would need to be cut, drilled out of the U shaped piece (it's gently welded onto it) and replaced with a longer bolt so the strap wraps around properly.

This is a rock solid unit. Note that it is designed to work with the older, wingnut-mount Aspire drums. If you have the newer slide-mount Aspire stand, you can order the correct unit from Sweetwater.

Nice piece of hardware but it did not fit on my LP Congo stand. Had to drill out holes to fit correctly. Now it works. Should not have to modify to work properly.
