Bright and Beautiful Snare-Happy Cajon

This is quite possibly one of the most beautifully finished cajon I've ever seen. But looks aren't everything. This cajon sounds great and while it's a little snare heavy given the very numerous wire-spring snares on the top third, it still sounds well-rounded and warm for the bass notes. Something interesting I also noticed is that the top has a textured material attached to the top to prevent the player from sliding around. This is a nice touch and surprising considering this costs less than my own Meinl picking cajon. This cajon is also slightly smaller than the typical Meinl or Pearl cajon, and as such fits into the Tama Designer Cajon Backpack/Bag, so if you're wondering if this particular cajon would fit in that bag, I can confirm that it does, which a little bit of finessing of course.

Overall, a very beautiful and very good-sounding cajon, especially if you prefer a more pronounced snare, and is well built and feels plenty sturdy. Would definitely recommend.

Well Made Cajon

The LP Aspire Cajon doesn't aspire to be a Cajon, it IS a Cajon. (Ok, I know that was cheesy but I couldn't resist. Sorry.) It's a very nice looking Cajon and is well made with solid all wood construction. It has a nice finish with rounded corners and a textured seat so you don't slip around while playing. It sits very solidly on the big rubber feet, which also prevents scarring of floor surfaces or the bottom of the Cajon. The bass response is ok but not quite as deep as some Cajons. The supposed "adjustable wires" feature, by loosening two front screws, is more of a marketing ploy than an actual feature. It does not work the well as the ones that adjust with the side mounted knobs. The wires on the Aspire are mounted on a fixed strip of wood that doesn't move as much as it just becomes loose. Relaxing the screw tension just deadens the sound and leaves you with two loose screws on the front of your Cajon. So, no on that. Overall, it is a very nice Cajon and I'm glad I bought it.
