Latin Percussion LP208 Vibra Slap II
Latin Percussion LP208 Vibra Slap II Reviews
Originally conceived from the rattle of the Peruvian quijada (horse/donkey jawbone instrument), the LP Vibra Slap lives on in notoriety thanks to the intros of Ozzy's "Crazy Train" and Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion," as well as countless concert and percussion ensemble pieces. The LP Vibra Slap Standard can be held in the hand and struck against the palm or upper thigh to punctuate parts with its distinctive teeth chatter, or just as easily mounted to a stand for drum set use. Different tones can be achieved by rotating the sound chamber inside the body. Make your bridge or intro a memorable one with the LP Vibra Slap from Sweetwater.

A classic percussion instrument
Vibra Slap II
Excellent product. The band loves it. Very easy to use.
Love That Vibra Slap
I have been enjoying proving to my children that this instrument can accompany any music.
Vibra slap
I had forgotten how cool this instrument is. It is beautiful and has a perfect sound that always gets an energetic response from the audience. You will probably want to get a clamp to keep it in easy reach if you are playing other instruments at the same time.
Green Tambourine
I am a multi-percussionist. This instrument is perfect for playing Green Tambourine by The Lemon Pipers. Thank you.
Perfect for Sweet Emotion
Perfect sound and tone for Areosmith's Sweet Emotion intro. Very satisfied.
I wish they would have carried the Vibra-Slap II Deluxe
The Vibra-Slap has always been my favorite percussion sound effect. This unit works just fine, but the deluxe edition has a longer ring-out time and a slightly lower, fuller sounding timbre.
Check out BOTH the LP208 and LP209
I bought this without knowing there was a bigger version with deeper tone and longer sustain - which is what I was looking for. This is the LP208, its bigger brother is the LP209. I have now bought both, and the 209 is more useful overall, in my opinion. Though there is a good case to be made for owning both for a choice of tones. LP also makes a metal one, but before you buy that you should hear the sound sample on LP's web site - that one rings like a bell, which isn't necessarily desirable in a Vibra-Slap effect.
