Yamaha LL6 ARE Original Jumbo- Brown Sunburst
This guitar is fantastic! Rich, deep full tone and with incredible ringing overtone harmonics! Comparable if not better than
higher end Taylor or Martin rosewood dreadnoughts! Special thanks to Nate Burkhardt, everything I've ordered through him has
arrived really fast, always with a follow up call. Great job!
Ll6are
I am 66 years young and this is my first guitar, and was told that this was an excellent guitar for a beginner and also experienced players. Excellent sound, and I am loving it. Lee at Sweetwater was great, and very helpful in my decision. This guitar is sweeeet.
Outstanding Product even if cost was quadrupled!
I am 59 years old and semi retired. I have played acoustic guitars since I was 12. I have owned over a hundred acoustic guitars including some very expensive ones during my full employment days. This guitar sounds and looks as good as any of my past high cost guitars. I currently own about 12 acoustics and all of them cost more then this one. None sound better and 10 of them feature solid woods all around. This model does not have solid wood but sounds wonderful. It even sounds great into all four of my different acoustic guitar amps. Two of my other acoustics are solid wood Yamaha s. They don't sound better either. This guitar is absolutely amazing. There are a lot of well meaning people who tell you to buy a solid wood guitar. I do not agree and think the solid top, bracing and craftsmanship accounts for the tone. This brand new guitar sounds as good as a 20 year old seasoned guitars right out of the box. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a great sounding guitar. It is balanced. It is articulate. It has great tone. Intonation up entire fretboard is spot on. Action was factory set perfect for me. This may be the best money you will ever spend. Although this is the only guitar I need, my excessive collection will likely stay put and just get less playing time. The life of a guitar addict. Yamaha is making great stuff in this current age of buyer disappointment. One of my other Yamaha guitars is 10 years old and has held up very well. Buy one of these whether you really need one or not. Joy is never overrated.

Just Buy it
Just received this guitar a couple days ago, I am totally blown away by the quality and craftsmanship, this is just my opinion but for under $ I don't think you could find a better acoustic , my only gripe is the cheap plastic nut and saddle , but to me that's not a big deal , I replaced the saddle with a bone saddle from Machichol guitars . Com.The width was perfect just had to take the height down a bit with sandpaper. The tuning keys feel very solid , I'm thrilled with this guitar plan on keeping this guitar for a long time . Just buy it you won't regret it , this thing a fairly loud projection and resonates very well , I don't have an acoustic amp put I did play it thru a Boss Katana MK 2 amp on the acoustic setting no squeal or feedback amazing. The neck is smooth as glass , frets are well polished, and the sunburst is so fine , and binding all over this guitar, just very pleasing to play and look at .
Get this guitar, you want regret it.
I searched and searched for the sound this guitar puts out. Taylor came the closest to it but even Taylor doesn't sound as good to me. I bought a 114 which I do like. It hasn't been out of the case since I bought this one. I could not find a LL6 to play in person so I took a chance and ordered it. This Yamaha LL6 has a full beautiful sound. Lots of bass but sparkly highs on the top end.
Nice full sized Dreadnought tone
Had this guitar about a year. I have a couple other acoustics, martins, guilds. This Yamaha holds its own against some of the best. Yea I know where it"s made. Trust me guitars coming out of that part of the world are different than they were 10-15 years ago. These are high quality instruments and built like a tank. I bought this for a beater that I wouldn"t have to worry about, but this guitar plays and sounds so good I"ve been babying it from day one. Gets polished weekly, and looks great. Very happy with this guitar, for the money you can"t go wrong with this. 15 years ago this would have been a 2000 guitar.
Excellent product and service
Everything about my buying experience with Sweetwater was perfect, and the guitar meets all expectations. I bought it for my husband, and he absolutely loves it.
Nice!
This guitar lives up to the Yamaha standard. The fit and finish are excellent. The tone and sustain are great. However, the plastic nut and saddle are a disappointment on such a fine instrument. I replaced both with Tusq with a noticeable improvement in tone and clarity.
Yamaha LL6 sunburst
Great sounding and feels good ,amazing for the price,as owning serval vintage instruments this is a good option for the stage built like a tank and the sunburst shines .. if want to spend under a grand for a acoustic go for a yamaha! Blows epiphone out of water ..draw back is needing a pre amp I suggest investing in LRbaggs session di preamp worth it
I picked this over a Taylor...
...and have NO regrets. Wanted to find a quality acoustic without spending a ton of money. I love Taylor's but a) everybody and their uncle seemingly has one and b) my budget wouldn't allow for a 200 series. The GS mini sounds great but I prefer a full scale guitar. The 110 was a tad underwhelming and very plain looking. Shopping for alternatives, I found the LL6 at Sweetwater. Couldn't find one to try in person so I did as much research online as possible. I decided it was worth the gamble to order it. So happy I did. First off, the guitar (I chose brown sunburst) is aesthetically superior to anything that I found in the same price range. The binding, inlays and gold tuners just take it to another level. The neck is super smooth and comfortable. The sound is clear, warm, and beautiful. I'm by no stretch a pro, and some may vehemently disagree with this next statement but I feel like I got a guitar that is every bit as good as a Taylor 200 series, but for a lot less money. I will say that I found two small (minute really) flaws in the binding, but nothing that would make me return the guitar. Can't expect perfection from a Chinese made guitar in this price range, but Yamaha sure came pretty close.
