Never thought my Guild D55 would be defeated by a Yammie, but it did! This guitar is insane! Bells all avond! Do yourself a favor and buy this piece of art!

Unbelievable Quality - Worth Twice The Price

By Ski Town Cover Band from Colorado on November 2, 2021

As often happens, Yamaha flexes their gigantic music muscle and the outcome creates a legendary product. Apparently, these LL 26, 36, etc., don't make it to the US very frequently as the Asian market covets them, and rightly so. Consequently, they're hard to find. They exist mostly in legend and, for most people, buying one will be a leap of faith. It was for me. (BTW, there is a LL100 - only 20 were ever made. They fetch $ no problem at guitar shows.)

This LL36 is the 28 style dreadnought I have been searching for. I play mine with .13's - it's all deep, round bass and smooth, clear highs. Tonally, it leans to the bass-y side of things ala the 28 I mentioned above. The guitar has a wonderful compressed sound under hard pick attack but does not fight back on dynamics or volume - it just stays smooth and clean.

The neck shape, fretwork and playability are absolute perfection. The binding, trim, fret markers are just beautiful done, I cannot say enough good about this guitar. Fit, finish, quality of materials, etc., are just spectacular. This would easily be a $ guitar fit it was from a US maker - and only a few makers have the skills to do this as well as the Japanese luthier shop at Yamaha.

They obviously take a lot of pride in these guitars. And now, I do too. Get one if you can.

Yamaha LL36 ARE Acoustic Guitar

By Dean Wilson from Grove City OH on January 5, 2020 Music Background: Guitar collector / enthusiast, rock band

This is a truly gorgeous, very high quality instrument. The A.R.E. treatment of the spruce top does exactly what Yamaha says it does - This guitar sounds huge, shimmery, and lush. I have one of these and also one of the Yamaha LL26 models. (The LL26 is essentially the same guitar but with gold open-gear tuners and without the abalone trim). Love them both. The abalone trim on the LL36 easily rivals that of a Martin D41. I also own a Martin D28 and some other high-end guitars, but find myself more and more reaching for my Yamahas. Outstanding, and a very good price point (especially at Sweetwater) for its quality
