Yamaha LL16L ARE Left-handed Original Jumbo Acoustic-electric Guitar - Natural Reviews
When you need a guitar with exceptional tone and playability, check out the Yamaha LL16 left-handed acoustic-electric guitar. Part of Yamaha's legendary L Series, the LL16 uses a hand-selected, solid Engelmann spruce top treated with Yamaha's A.R.E. process and solid rosewood back and sides to give you a rich, warm sounding guitar with full-range response. The 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck sports not only a smooth-playing ebony fretboard, but also a new, slimmer neck shape and an enhanced fingerboard edge. A passive SRT Zero Impact pickup uses a separate element for each string to give you authentic plugged-in tones. The updated Yamaha LL16 delivers killer tone and playability in a premium acoustic-electric guitar.

Best acoustic guitar I ever owned. I sold my Martin D28 to buy the Yamaha. Friends thought I was crazy. After hearing and playing it, they were amazed. I have no reason to bs anyone; but this Yamaha is incredible
Great!
This guitar was well packaged, pristine, and is excellent.
Thank you very much and have a good day.
Another 5 star review for this guitar
I purchased on a whim because there was a demo sale, and I was not disappointed in my purchase. Great low end and bright highs, and nice and loud. Pickup sounds great through a few different amps I have, including the Fender Acoustic 100W and the Acoustic A1000. Plus no need for a battery! Awesome guitar!
Not perfectly the left handed guitar
I purchased this product in 2020 through sweetwater. Sound of the guitar is good but the action of the instrument is not up to the mark. Also I found that this piece of mine is proved defective as the nut of this guitar is right handed , may be mistakenly the maker used the right handed nut. Bcoz of this the high E string play is odd and difficult in playing upstrokes .
What a guitar!!!
This guitar has everything I expected in a guitar at this price range and much much more. Outstanding tone and feel. Great fit and finish. Love the sound acoustically and plugged in. It exceeds the quality of many higher priced guitars. And Sweetwater made the purchase so easy. Great customer oriented sales associates that I would recommend to anyone. Thanks Sweetwater and Yamaha.
Worth every penny
I got one of these used. The body size and materials produce a big big sound. Not just big, clear, balanced, sweet. I actually just got a Gibson SJ200 from Sweetwater's scratch and dent division and while it is astonishing and my forever acoustic… at 1/5th the price the Yamaha LL is within 80% of the sound and playing experience. The one thing here, I don't think I'd use the built in pickup at all. Well I don't, the LR Baggs anthem on the Gibson however…. I do more than I imagined. To put it another way, I also got a Taylor 300 series with the V bracing….. it's for sale now. The Yamaha being my 2nd forever acoustic
Wonderful guitar
First, I want to give a major thumbs up to Sweetwater. Their service was fantastic, and I will definitely be buying with them again.
This guitar is absolutely amazing. It's my first Yamaha and I am thoroughly impressed. The sound is heavenly. I have yet to meet a person who thinks it sounds terrible. The first time I played it to my guitar teacher he complimented it. This guy teaches at two universities and has many years of experience so that was a huge compliment to my purchase.
It feels wonderful to play. So good that I choose this over my other guitars which cost as much or twice as much. I never want to put it down.
Very happy with this purchase.
Simply Beautiful
I returned A. `Taylor 322 because it didn't sound as good as this with bone saddle and nut. Crazy good.
Stunning guitar for the money, or really at any price.
The appointments on the Yamaha LL16 closely mirror the Martin D28. Yes, you could spend 3x the money for the Martin, but there's simply no way the Martin could sound better than this. As long as you're not hung up on the name on the headstock, the Yamaha is a slum-dunk better value. I did order it with a bone nut, set up by Sweetwater, and she plays so good. Plus, the Yamaha has a piezo pickup which, with some eq help, amplifies well and sounds good. No pickup on the standard D28, so that makes the LL16 even more of a bargain. I have owned Martins and Taylors, and one walnut Gibson, the LL16 is simply on a different level.
More than a bang for the buck guitar
I now own 14 guitars which is ridiculous I know- 7 of those I have bought from Sweetwater. I was looking on the website just because I like to see what is out there and this guitar caught my eye. The only other guitar I own with this wood combination is a Martin D-35. I did email my account rep Charlie Davis for advice on this guitar vs. some others which were more expensive and made with laminate back and sides. Charlie recommended this one I just received it today and it is a real beauty. Great looking and great sounding guitar both acoustically and plugged in. Thank you to Sweetwater and Charlie for enhancing my 4th of July!
Yamaha Lefty
I purchased this guitar for myself and I love it. The sound it produces is amazing. This guitar is easy to fret and blows my Martin away. I wish it would have come with a bone but and saddle on it already. Will be adding them later, the gig bag is is high quality that comes with it also. You can't go wrong with this guitar !
Just wow
I got this guitar in the mail from Sweetwater today and I couldn't be happier. I had them switch out the saddle and upgrade it to a bone saddle. The action is perfect, intonation perfect, just about everything perfect on Sweetwater end of the deal. This guitar sounds better than guitars I've played that sell for two or three times as much. If your in the market for a high quality acoustic without paying over a grand this is definitely an amazing guitar. Cheers Yamaha!
