Beyond Perfect

By John R. from Lake In The Hills, IL

It had all the specs I wanted. Stainless steel frets, locking tuners, ebony fretboard, and I love the locking touch on the good old tune-o-matic bridge. I had Sweetwater install a tusq nut too. But my favorite part is the Thin-U neck profile. Feels so perfect.

It was also my first experience with active pickups and I had Sweetwater install the Fishman Classic set in place of the Modern set because I'm not a metal player. But I actually ended up not liking them at all and got the guitar wired up passive with Bareknuckle humbucker sized P90s.

Guitar came setup beautifully without a single flaw anywhere to be found. My rep Andrew processed the order within an hour or two and had it on the bench, fixed up, and shipped in no time.

Sweetwater is just amazing and I love this guitar. Thanks again!

Wow!!

By Happy C. from NASHVILLE, TN
Music Background: Bedroom amphitheater and hope to open for the puppet show one day

This guitar is extremely well-made and gorgeous. The binding and frets are flawless. I took a chance on the pickups, my first active, and I'm very glad I did. They sound great to my ears.

This was my first ESP/LTD guitar, and I'm blown away by the quality at the price point. My SG Std, which cost 60% more, is not as well made, in my opinion and doesn't have features like an ebony fretboard, multiply binding, locking tuners, Fishman pickups…

Better Than My Two Gibson Les Pauls!!

By CM from Dallas

I did a lot of research on this line of guitars and I opted for the black finish with black chrome hardware along with the Fishman pickups. Every guitar I own has locking tuners and this one already had them and great pickups so all I needed was a case.

I own a 2014 Gibson Trad Pro 1 Les Paul and a 2021 Gibson Classic Les Paul and as great as they are, they fall short compared with this LTD ESP! The natural harmonics leap off this guitar beautifully, the pickups are hot but have great clarity, and the workmanship is that of a guitar that costs 3x as much.

This is simply an outstanding guitar for any style of music. it plays like a dream, has very high fret access, impeccable fret work, and great sustain and body resonance. I'm extremely picky about my guitars and this one is a ten!! Highly recommended and more bang-for-the-buck than any guitar I've ever owned.

Easily the best EC-1000 out there

By Michael
Music Background: Hard rock metal gigging bands ets

Over the years I have owned about 5 of these guitars and sold them all, Never really regretted it either. Bought this one for the Fluence pickups and my history of the craftmanship. I wasnt disappointed. The Fluence are by far the best metal pickups I have ever played. I would never go back to EMG although the Bonebreakers are pretty close. They (Fluence) clean up ok but I can get a better chimey shimmery sound off a SD Jazz in the neck. Anyway. best craftsmanship you can buy at this price. Made in Korea not China so I feel like the attention to detail is better.

The neck and frets are fast and smooth. The stainless steel feels really stout and sit up nicely off the wood. You can rip on it. Honestly though even fretting some cowboy chords is easy too.

Fantastic Guitar

By clark
Music Background: Touring and studio experience

Wasn't sure if I wanted one of these because I wanted EMG pick ups. I'm really glad I pulled the trigger on this one. This guitar is fantastic the fishman pick ups are absolutely amazing! And as always the Eclips body design and neck are perfect! I played other Brands of guitars with the Fishman's. But the LTD wins hands-down best guitar! Not worth trying to save money on the other brands !

Greatest guitar ever!

By Prakhar from San Francisco
Music Background: Beginner

After eyeing this guitar for more than 6 months, I finally bit the bullet and got this as a present for myself! I upgraded from a Jackson JS11 dinky so this guitar feels just amazing! I'm so so glad I bought this!

If you are on the fence about this, just buy it! The Fishmans, stainless steel frets and it's playability is just insanely good .

Great guitar.

By Isaac from NY

This is a fantastic guitar. The fluence pickups are amazing as always. The guitar plays and feels fantastic. It is a metal machine but also does pretty much everything else really well. I put a neck cover in mine - highly recommend this guitar.

EC-1000S Fluence

By Trae P. from Florida

Former EC-1000 Deluxe owner here (S. Korea, 2008 model). I sold it over 5 years ago, and I regret it within the first year of selling it. Finally caved and bought the 1000S Fluence, after seeing so many of my favorite guitarists switching to these Fishmans. After some time with it, I have to say, this guitar really does look/feel like an evolution of my former guitar. First off, the craftsmanship has certainly improved; the neck heel is now tapered with the body, the cutaway is improved, and the contour of the body looks and feels much better. I'm also a big fan of the aesthetic design changes; the guitar looks much better IMO with the Ebony fretboard and without the Abalone trim/inlays from the 1000 Deluxe.

Now, onto what's most important: Playability and Tone. I had the guitar PLEK'd with a Tusq nut by Sweetwater (since ESP switched from Earvana nuts to cheap plastic), and it simply played like a dream upon arrival. I've played guitars much more expensive, made in Japan, etc., yet this guitar rivals anything I've laid my hands on in terms of playability and sound. As far as the tone goes, I don't have enough words to describe how much I love these Fluence pickups... I did a lot of research on them, and I've come to the conclusion that while they may not be for everyone, they are certainly for me. The fact that Fishman was able to make these pickups so hot, yet squeeze every ounce of tone and fidelity out of your instrument without being sterile, is staggering. Between the volume control and the push/pull on the tone pot ("passive" tone on pull), you have so many tonal options to choose from that it's absurd. Just keep in mind that these pickups may reveal sloppy playing more easily, due to the extreme clarity that they provide. I'm predominantly a metal guitarist, but I can see this guitar being useful for anyone who wants a versatile 6-string electric with killer value. Now, ESP just needs to make one with an extended scale, or put these Fluences in a 7-string format (I'll be in line for the pre-order!!).

HUGE thanks to Nick Rice, who is the most awesome Sweetwater sales engineer I've had the pleasure of dealing with. His knowledge, patience, and personable attitude have made all the purchases from Sweetwater great experiences. I used to shop around, but these days, I won't give my business to anyone else when it comes to musical supplies!!

Lovely Guitar

By Geddy L. from CO
Music Background: Amateur Guitarist

There's so much that I appreciate about this guitar. From the way it stays in tune almost perfectly, to the killer sustain flying out of the EMG pickups, to the variety of tones achievable, to the overall beautiful finish and neck inlays, I really do enjoy holding, playing, or even just staring at this guitar. A quality instrument at a great price point. No regrets.

Stunning Hard Core Metal Machine!

I waited 10 months to receive this guitar and suffice it to say it was absolutely worth it. I love everything about this guitar from the build quality to the feel and play ability to it"s stunning appearance. Certainly is not a guitar to bang out some Stevie Ray Vaughan but if you"re into metal or hard rock… Wow! Sweetwater is always a great place to deal with
