The LD Systems ICOA SUB 18 A is a top-notch powered PA sub with enough juice to tackle a wide range of live sound scenarios. Armed with a 2,400-watt Class D power amp, the ICOA SUB 18 A churns out a 133dB maximum SPL. Its 18-inch woofer, which is bolstered by optimized bass reflex ports, yields earthshaking low end all the way down to 29Hz. The ICOA SUB 18 A's baked-in DynX DSP ensures distortion-free sound, even with the volume cranked, and you get four application presets to ensure perfect balance with the rest of your system. This outstanding subwoofer also supplies you with switchable signal polarity and an adjustable delay line for up to 33 feet. You'll also appreciate the ICOA SUB 18 A's four stacking grooves that facilitate secure installations, as well as its M20 thread and four aluminum handles. Insane for the price point
This sub is actually nuts for the money. I compared it side by side to a JBL srx818 and it actually sounded better. I was blown away that it actually was as loud and reached slightly lower than the srx. It has a slightly larger cab but the handles make it pretty easy to move. The build quality is not nearly as good as the JBL, the handles feel cheap and it's a basic plate amp. Fingers crossed the amp is reliable but so far this sub has been an incredible value
Awsome sound system
Did alot of research before purchasing the unit. Awesome sound very deep bass, what i was looking for. Using one sub for now, still kicks a punch, will be purchasing another one. Will be using LD icoa 15" tops for it. Awesome investment.
Great Subwoofer!
I bought Two of these after being disappointed in a couple other single 18's in this price range and the icoa is everything I wanted in a sub.
Easily hits low and hard at the 30Hz range (and below at lower volumes)
PROS:
Deep room shaking bass, simple digital display, cardioid, threaded pole mount, stackable, extra front handles, durable with good aesthetic IMO
CONS:
The LCD screen doesnt fully turn off but only dims.
This sub is pretty big and weighs about 100 Lbs so it's a beast to move alone.

Bought one for smaller set ups. Should have bought 2! Solid, well built, sub! LD is a great product! Sound is AWESOME! Takes both of my Behringer 18s to come close to my one ICOA! Looking to buy a second!! Great for band set ups and for DJ!
