Really sweet bass
I'd been looking for a 4-string bass with a through neck for a while now. I ran across this ESP D-4 and bought it on impulse, and boy am I glad I did. Beautiful satin finish makes it so easy to work up and down the neck. The fingerboard is perfectly finished with a nice smooth edge and well finished frets. The neck has a slender profile that enables me to better fret the notes as I play. Love it.
I love the resonance provided by the through neck. I'm definitely a new fan of ESP with this bass.
Best bass I have
I've only had this bass a few days, but I have to say this is hands-down the best bass I have ever handled. The finish quality is amazing, the satin finish is beautiful and a real pleasure to handle. The neck has a thin profile that, combined with the satin finish, makes it easier to move up and down the fingerboard. The bass came out of the box almost perfectly in tune, the string height is low, and the intonation seems perfect. The through neck helps the resonance and sustain.
All in all, I highly recommend this bass.
Amazing Bass!
Don't let the looks fool you, this bass is amazing. String through neck through keeps the action low, without buzzing. It also creates long-lasting deep sustain. From metal and punk to blues and country this bass does the job. If you're a slapper this may not be your bass. The action and sustain sound more like Les Claypool than Flea.I'm a finger player, and this bass blows all the others I've played out of the water. LTD has gone above and beyond again!
Great sounding bass!
I love this bass! It plays great, right out the box. The sustain is incredible. Neck is perfect! I am. novice bassist, but this thing makes me feel like Stanley Clarke! Thanks Orion Valencia, for the super customer service!
My only complaint is I wish they came in other colors.
Not great quality for the money
I bought it three years ago. After buying it I found out the nut was not cut correctly. Now a tuning key broke.
