Light It Up
I have tried a few tube microphones from other companies below this price range, but I wasn't sold on the results. Back in late 2024, I received the Pure 940 from a trade. I record vocals for spoken word, hip-hop, Gospel, and R&B. This mic has blown me away on every artist I've put in front of it. I like how you can go full tube, full fet, or blend the two.
I like how Lewitt makes the mic light up in front. My clients like it.
Amazing Mic!
This mic sounds amazing all around. It is now the go to mic for me. Lewitt has great products all around I even grabbed the drum mic kit they have. Great quality and craftsmanship.

It's legit
Im not gonna tell you that it sounds just like anything. But i can say that i did a shootout with u87, c12, and others. It stood the test well enough to convince my very experienced engineer pal to order one.
It does not have the air of a u87, it is more like a c12. Very natural high quality mic and takes eq well.
The 940 has done a great job for me.

Great for my voice
This is a really great mic for my voice. I love the tube/FET blend and different modes. I also tried the Mojave MA 300, Avantone SV12, and Audio Technica 4050. I also kept the AT 4050 for live session recording. The other mics are great too, but just not quite the right fit for my voice.
