Not a novelty item
This bass has a great tone all it's own. Great playing instrument. The workmanship is very good, and as received the intonation was spot on. The LTD controls give a wide range of tonal options but this bass harmonizes with itself. Super cool.
Such a cool tone
Thanks to my sales engineer Tyler Moore. I was buying a Cosmic Jade P-Bass and had my eye on this 8 string. I asked him to let me know when they come back in stock.....well, he says.....hang on, let me check, I think we do have one of those in stock. Sure enough, he did and I snatched it up! I'm a huge fan of the ESP Ltd series. First one I owned was a B-255 (my first 5 string bass). I was impressed with the monstrous tone and playability. So, I had no reservations in making the leap to buy another ESP Ltd. I didn't know I needed an 8 string bass until I bought this thing. It's got the ESP electronics and it has such a cool tone. If you're thinking of buying one....just do it, you will not regret it.
