Great Investment
Ive been through a few mics this year and I think after buying this 320 im done with my search! the 320 gave me the clean vocal that I've been looking for! I do want to get the Atlantis mic but im happy where im at with this mic buying anything else would just be for kicks at this point.
So Far It’s Amazing !
Just received this mic a day ago and I can already say I'm truly impressed with the sound quality. It definitely is sensitive but the mic itself is extremely quiet and has a nice detail to it. I've had around 4 mics so far since starting my studio (AT2020,Rode NT1 A,Warm Audio WA 87, and more). I purchased this looking to get my first tube mic and could note be happier this was recommended to me ! Shoutout Sweetwater for helping me find this. If you want high quality sound for a medium range price choose this mic.
Too sibilant
I bought this 3 weeks ago and tried to like this tube microphone.I had researched and watched youtube reviews and was looking forward to it. When I received the mic and ran it through my RND 511 into my Empirical Labs distressor the sibilance was sharp. It was wayyyyyy to "s" sounding. I ran this m8c through a ssl, capi v26, blue robbie, and mike-e pre amp and the only one that kind of tamed the sibilance was the mike-e. Unfortunately i sent it back and grabbed a warm audio 251. Hopefully the warm audio 251 will better suit my voice.
