Absolutely needed

By Sweetwater Customer

If you travel with your gear and have to pack and unpack several times a week, these covers are a must have for your Bose system. I wish I had ordered them at the time I purchased my system. They save a lot of wear and tear.

I paid $ for this???

By Pete from Northern Michigan
Music Background: Full-Time Singer/Songwriter/Composer/Producer/Multi-Instrumentalist

This cover is trash. Cheap. Ill-fitting, no cushion, no real protection. $ extra for this paper thin flimsy thing??? The other Bose covers I've had on previous products (L1 Model II, L1 Compact) were all of a MUCH higher quality and more functional than this thin, cheap piece of junk. AND, I had to pay EXTRA for it. Love Bose products, but this is an obvious cost cutting money grab that makes them look really cheap. Not a good look on you, Bose.

Thin nearly worthless cover

By Larry R. from CANYON LAKE, TX
Music Background: Professional Musician, Recording Engineer, Former Sales specialist for pro audio

Totally disappointing cover. Weighs less than a few ounces. Where's the Bose quality I'm used to with my L1's S2 covers? $ for a nearly worthless cover
Must be paying for the Bose Name Screen Print on the front.
Unbelievable

It's a dust cover, folks -- no more, no less

By Sean from Tucson AZ
Music Background: Steadily-gigging solo guitarits/vocalist for 12 years; plenty more before that...

Not sure why so many people are complaining about this cover. I'm careful with my gear and I'm far more concerned with my Pro8 being exposed to dust and dirt than getting banged around. This is a thin nylon cover that fits well and even then will protect against minor scratches and etc. -- it's the same material and thickness, I believe, as my S1 Pro cover. Not sure what people are expecting for $ but there are other companies out there who'll sell you a well-padded cover for a LOT more money. (And yes it's a bit surprising that Bose doesn't offer a more deluxe cover option.) Take your pick; I'm quite happy with this cover.
(My Sweetwater rep, Alex Campos, got it out to me really quickly too. Thanks, Alex!)

Bose S1 paper sleave

By Steeldrumguy from AL
Music Background: 30 years performing professionally

This cover is so bad I can't believe they actually have the nerve to charge for it. It literally looks like it should cost a $1 so they should throw it in for free. It's literally nothing more than a paper sleeve… Shame on you Bose

Slip cover for Bose L1 Pro8

By Larry from Colorado
Music Background: musician since the 70s. Also a degree in music.

I purchased this slip cover but it was a waste of money. It's paper thin, provides no protect and doesn't fit well. When I purchased it, I assumed it would be like the L1 Compact slip cover but that is not the case.

Adequate cover

By Terry H. from Albert, KS
Music Background: Professional Musician

This cover does what it is meant to do. For the price of the Bose unit it should have been included. My L1 compact came with both covers for the base unit and the extensions. Kinda pricey for what it is but, that's not Sweetwater's fault.

Couldn’t be happier!

By Michael from Murphys CA
Music Background: Singing in choirs, Bands, and solo for 30+ years.

So happy with the Bose L1 Pro8. This thing sounds amazing and setting it up is quick and easy. It is light weight and easy to transport and if your venue is a tight squeeze you won't have any problem with it's slim sleek design it will fit in almost anywhere. The customer service was great, thanks to Nate for all your help and leading me in the right direction. I couldn't be happier!

Fits Like A Glove

By Sweetwater Customer

Fits nice and snug over the base system. Feel much better when transporting and storing now. Only thing that could make this better is a little bit of padding.

Not impressed.

By Christopher P. from NC

Very thin and flimsy. It fits and says BOSE on it though.

Unbelievable

By Sweetwater Customer

...cheap, thin feeling dust cover is ludicrous. It offers little to no protection whatsoever. Shame on you Bose. It should have been included with the purchase of the system. I wouldn't have minded paying $ for even a lightly padded version, but this is unashamed pure greed.

Insight

By Ray M. from NC

I've owned quite a few Bose systems.. seeing this cover I knew it would be like the bass module cover for the L1 1S and Model II.. thin loose and no padded protection. So I opted to get the "new" pro 8 bag at a much higher price.. it is padded with a carrying handle and shoulder stray.. and even a 3rd handle for control.. I will say if you're used to the compact.. carrying this case is noticeable as far as weight.. YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFFERENCE. and keep in mind that with the pro case... your packing setup will change. It's much bigger and awkward.. if this case wasn't $ I would chop off the speaker and extension part of the case.. and use it just for the bass module

We expected more from you, Bose

By Adam from Orlando, FL
Music Background: Gigging musician

I upgraded from an L1 Compact to the Pro8. That has been a great improvement in functionality/features but first off, there isn't a cover included. Next, the Bose-branded item you have to BUY is only slightly better than wrapping the lower unit in a thick contractor trash bag, with about the same protection. The fit leaves a lot to be desired, too; you can spin the cover completely around the unit. Thank you, Bose, for the reasonable price increase over the Compact, but this cover isn't up to the quality that we've grown to expect from you.

The Minimum - disappointed

By Guitar P. from SW Florida
Music Background: 40+ year professional musician

For $... this slip cover doesn't do much more than slip.
Positives - it looks nice. When you have it on it supplies cover for the contacts on the base unit from dust when the unit is being stored.
Negatives - everything else. It has no weight to it and is very slippery. It will slide all over your car while you're driving, which means its weight will cause it to slam into things causing possible damage! I had to take it off to stabilize the base in my car's hatchback compartment and place the base on a towel.
I have an L1 Compact, which came with a very nice padded cover with a pocket in it for the cord, and another cover for the extenders.
The L1 Pro 8 comes with a nice cover for the line array and extender, but nothing for the base. What a disappointment.
A decent padded gig bag for a guitar costs from $50-$100.
Bose wants you to pay $ for a gig bag for this unit after you've shelled out $ for the PA. Come on!

So disappointed

By Chris from S
Music Background: 25 years of playing out

I don't write reviews. I bought the new L1 Pro8. Upgrading from Bose compact. 1) The pro8 did not come with a protective cover like the compact. Fine. I will pay the 40 bucks for the slip cover. The cover is no more than a dust cover. It is super thin and loose. No padding. Nothing like the cover included with compact It provides no protection. I played a gig yesterday. The cover totally moves around if you brush your leg against it while carrying in. And there is no side pocket for the power cord. And side note the fact the carrying bag for the column portion does not have shoulder strap is Ridiculous. I try to minimize my trips to the car and now I need a hand for the column.

Flimsy Poor Dust Cover at best

By Gary R. from Tucson, AZ
Music Background: Heavy Gigging professional

I have have been using new Bose L1 Pro 8 since it was released. I also have owned and used a Bose L1 Compact and a number of other competing Tower PA's for years. The Carry Bag for the L1 Pro 8 Is well built and typical quality. I ordered the Bose L1 Pro 8 Slip cover when I bought the L1 Pro 8. It was backordered and just arrived.

I was shocked when I discovered it is a flimsy thin nylon dust cover at best. I am further shocked Bose doesn't excuse this cheap thin nylon sleeve. There is NO pouch for even the Power cord? SERIOUSLY BOSE?!?!

FYI - I will be having Studio Slips create a nicely padded cover with a storage pouch so I can protect my Pro gigging L1 Pro8.

Bose really dropped the ball on this ...and after discovering how cheap and flimsy it is, I can't believe they make you pay for it. I love my Bose L1 Pro 8. But this $39 slip cover is a slap in the face.

Disappointing

By scott s. from Murphy, NC
Music Background: Gigging Solo Perfomer

Although upon review the description in the item page was accurate, it is disappointing. I was hoping for something at least as durable as the cover that came with my Turbosound Ip500, which had some padding and I felt secure in carrying in my trunk with the rest of my gear. This is just the cheapest single ply cover imaginable. If there were some intermediate option that would be one thing, but the next option up from Bose is a full bag for the entire system... Problem being, the unit came with a thoroughly adequate case for the upper portion, so that $... would essentially be only for protecting the base. How about a padded base cover for $60? $75? This thing is next to useless, and yet still necessary. Disappointed.

Malisima calidad

By Walter g.

Me impresiona lo ridiculamente caro comparado con la calidad , no es mas que un cubre polvo, material ofensivamente delgado, debio venir incluido.
