If I had read his entire review, I would never have purchased this. It's actually an okay unit for it's intended use: Karaoke. I bought it for sound support for speakers at small meeting rooms. It would have worked for that except for the fact that you simply can't turn off the reverb/echo effect. If you can put up with that, then this unit might do the trick for you. It did not for me. Thankfully Sweetwater is very good about returns.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for two of my grandkids. We set it up on Christmas Day and while the kids had a blast with it, it wasn't all too enjoyable for the adults. My reason for the low review is that there are only three adjustment ranges for both the microphones and the echo effect, low, medium. and high. The low adjustment for the mic remains far too loud for young children who tend to hold the mic right up to their mouths. While the echo does product slightly different levels of the effect it would be nice itty it could be turned off completely. I'm going to order some microphone socks to see if these might help dampen the volume. Volume adjustments for actual streamed music functions fine.

As a final note, there is a note on the Sweeetwater description the incorrectly indicated that the microphones require two AA batteries that are not provided. They actually require AAA's and this is properly reflector reflected in the manufacturers description.
