Best of the best

I bought this KSM9 through Sweetwater when it first came out few years back. It has been hands down the best purchase I'd ever bought. I use this mic both indoors and out year round about 300 times a year. I also bought the KSM8 when it too first came out and I'd give it almost a 5 star on the KSM8. That is only because handling noise was a little louder than the KSM9. P.S. Dear Sweetwater who needs TRICK or TREAT with you guys always giving me candy, my kids wont let me shop anywhere else! LOL

great mic

By Sweetwater Customer on July 21, 2017

This mic is awesome. It needs no eq, and it's very clear. It sounds like more expensive LDC's I own, and is a great studio mic as well as for live performances. I use this with my acoustic group, and it saves me so much time during sound checks.
The other members in my group want this mic now.

Wowza!

I run a live sound company... and I am always wanting the best for my clients...I bought this mic (taking a chance on it) without ever hearing it before and I am super happy with the sound,

This mic sounds clear and clean typically needing little to no EQ at the shows I do. It great gain before feedback... the highs are smooth, the mids have awesome warmth and the lows are rich and musical!

One musician I was talking with about my new KSM9 to said woo I could never justify spending that much on a vocal mic & then I asked him how much $$$ he put into his guitar rig and guitars?? He looked at me and said... What was the name of that mic again?? I think when I said that something clicked in his mind... He just never thought of his voice as an investment before. Pretty sure he bought one!

IMO quality vocals are essential to a good mix... might as well have the best!

+++BTW tried the KMS105 - way too much issues with feedback

BTW I have his mic in black too... but I think the champagne looks cooler in person,,,

The KSM9 is totally worth the money... the only problem I have now is I want MORE!!!

I have been singing most of my life and I have most every mic out there! THIS MIC IS AWESOME!!! This is by far the best mic I have ever bought. The sound is amazing and you can be right in front of your monitors at a very high level without the squealing of feedback! I used a Beta 87 before this mic and now I use the beta as a paper weight!
Thank You Jake H. (my sales man at Sweetwater) for the tips and helpful sales and knowledge given on all of the products I have bought!

Lovin it

By Nunia Bizness from St.Louis on September 18, 2009 Music Background: Steady weekend warrior

I've went through quite a few mics gigging and such. Nothing is this cool. The highs are perfect and strong without hurting the ears... nice and smooth without diminishing quality.
The Lows are absolute sweet sounding without the typical muffled sound you hear on MOST mics.
This is truly the very best purchase I've ever made as far as musical equipment is concerned.
Most people spend a ton on their instrument yet neglect to invest in their vocal instrument. I can't stress it enough... the best purchase I've made.

Live excellence

Someone Has finally done it. This mic is simply AMAZING. Switchable Polar Patterns for those pesky stages or unruly vocalists. Everything this has been boasted to be is true. Read the specs and praise about it, and believe. Truly in a class of its own.

Once you try it, you will never be without.

Shure KSM 9

have had a history of using mics in the $125 to $200 range...I suppose I got used to the quality one gets from that price range and complacent with the results...what an eye and ear opener to step up to a microphone of this caliber..I got it to compliment my new Bose system and the significant quality and performance of this microphone truly justifies the cost......if how you sound matters then this is truly an investment in your performance
