Shure KSE1500 Electrostatic Earphone System Reviews
Shure's engineers have developed a world first: an entire electrostatic listening system that fits in your back pocket. The Shure KSE1500 consists of a pair of 10Hz-50kHz electrostatic earphones, an acoustically transparent, low-capacitance Kevlar cable, and an audiophile amplifier with bypassable parametric custom EQ. The amp connects to your phone or computer in two ways - via USB with hi-res 24/96 conversion for completely neutral playback, or with a traditional 1/8" auxiliary cable. Both cables are included, as are six sets of foam tips for a comfortable fit. And best of all, the earphones are isolating to cut out background noise. So whether you're on a bus, on a run, in the studio, or alone at home, the Shure KSE1500 delivers audio quality you can count on.

EXPERIENCE MUSIC!!!
These earphones are phenomenal! Normal earphones allow you to LISTEN to music; these let you EXPERIENCE music.
I purchased these to replace a pair of SE846 earphones that I lost. When reading reviews about these earphones I had heard that they don't produce as much bass as the the SE846s. When I first received these earphones I was extremely disappointed, not only was the bass lacking and distorted but I couldn't turn the volume up higher than 75% without it sounding like I was damaging the drivers. Fortunately, I quickly realized this was the fault of the audio source not the earphones. I noticed that when connecting the earphones to my Mac as opposed to my iPhone the music was AMAZING (what I expected it to be). Why was this I wondered. When I looked more closely at the amp that comes with the earphones I noticed that the source output level was much higher (in the danger range) on the iPhone. Thankfully I was able to adjust this in the settings of the music app I use (Tidal - lossless audio files). Again once I fixed my problem with the source these earphones really work magic on your brain. I would say they have more and much better bass than my old SE846s. There is no distortion or noise what so ever!!! A truly immersive experience.
It is my opinion that these earphones are worth more than $3,000. I absolutely love them!!!
