Solidbody Electric Guitar with Maple Body, Maple Neck, Maple Fingerboard, 2 Humbucking Pickups, and Floyd Rose Tremolo - Pearl White

The Pacer Vintage is a spectacular tribute to the Kramer’s original shred-style axe. Thanks to its familiar double-cut body and historic beak-style headstock, picking up a Pacer Vintage is like stepping right back into 1982. This solidbody electric guitar was built for high speed and high performance. All-maple construction gives it a bright sound with long sustain and enough bite to penetrate a busy mix of drums, bass, and guitars. Its ruler-flat 14”-radius fingerboard ensures lightning-fast playability. And paired with a dimed British-style stack, the Pacer Vintage’s Seymour Duncan pickups dish out classic hot-rodded humbucker tones. Treble-bleed controls and push/pull series/parallel taps round out to this guitar’s premium features. And since no guitar would be shred-worthy without a double-locking tremolo, the Pacer Vintage comes armed with the gold standard — a Floyd Rose. If you want to get your hands on a hard rock classic, pick up a Kramer Pacer Vintage.

Tolerable w/some tweaking

By Sweetwater Customer

Factory setup was pretty close.Had to put a little relief in the neck.Neck is on the slim side taper wise.Radius pretty flat.Definitely a shredder neck.My original 83 Pacer has a more vintage strat feeling neck.Pickups sound good.Wiring kind of weird. The first volume control controls the bridge volume. The second volume control controls the neck volume. This is backwards of the original Pacer wiring but I can understand why they did it this way. Most people do the volume swells on the bridge pickup so putting it first makes it easier to get to I guess. There are treble bleeds on both volume controls but I think the value is a bit much. Turning the volume down retains too many highs and has a harsh mid-rangey sound. The taper of the master tone control wasn't that great either, it seemed more like an on-off affair when turning it down. Not a smooth taper. The pole pots for series parallel worked well but I don't see the need for this option on a shredder type ax. Usually the bar is in the way of any pull pot manipulations anyway. I ended up gutting the whole control cavity and replacing with a master volume and two tones with no treble bleed, and no pull pots. I used a 0.015 microfarad capacitor for the tone control. I realize that these are all personal preferences, the guitar as a whole is decent and stays in tune very well. The Fret ends are smooth and I only encountered one high fret on fret number 8. I also replaced the knobs with speed knobs like the original Kramer had.The bar pulls the G string up 2 1/2 steps to "C",pretty cool!

A great guitar my first guitar

By TBone from Huntington Station New York
Music Background: Guitars

Before I had a Les Paul copy was an amazing sound and a very good guitar for a knock off but pwhen I got creamer when it first came out I can't remember the year I was the only one actually in town that owned a Kramer it was a fantastic guitar the sound everything I had to I think it was Seymour Duncan pick ups then I can't remember. But anyway it's a good shredding guitar, and I had no idea that Eddie Van Halen played this guitar I thought you play the Sharvell. Definitely worth the money I'm getting another one since I don't have that guitar anymore. Relationships screw everything up lol now you know why I don't own that guitar anymore. But get this guitar is a great guitar.

There's just something about Kramer I have always loved....

By Brad C. from New Jersey
Music Background: Semi Professional with a 9-5 lol Rock/Metal/Blues

I love this guitar. The simplicity and tone is just in your face and smooth! I purchased it about a week ago and overnighted it to my office. When I received it I was BLOW AWAY!!! To be honest, the set up was a little eh, but hey it had to travel and it's summer so I'll give it a pass. Not to mention, most new guitars don't exactly have the set up you want anyways. Once I got it home and set it up this baby is a keeper! The neck is just like my 83 Pacer Imperial that I sold many years ago like a total Knucklehead. The reason for 4 1/2 out of 5 stars is that I ran into one little issue with the top mound Floyd nut. Whoever put it on in the factory must of really eaten their Wheaties that morning because the screws mounting the nut to the neck were completely sheared off! For me this is not a big problem because I was a luthier at one point in life. Tedious, pain in the neck fix, but quick enough. Now this baby will be rockin' with me this weekend! As always, I'd like to thank Ryan. He really is an awesome sales engineer. He always works with me and provides beyond excellent service. If you're thinking about buying this guitar get on the waiting list and when they're in stock again, pull the trigger!

Fantastic

By Sweetwater Customer

This guitar was set up great out of the box and had no blemishes or problems with it. The only problem I had were the frets were kind of nasty probably from sitting but not a big deal to polish them up. Frets feel nice on the edge and neck is very smooth. The Locking nut is great I have had no tuning problems at all even with dive bombs. The color is so awesome to look at. It's white with like glitter or bits of sand with it. It really shines when the light hits it. You also can't see finger prints at all on this. Would definitely recommend
