Just what I've heard and more
My son bought me this guitar as a birthday gift and man am I pleased I have a pretty good collection of guitars all different brands but this is on my favorite list it plays itself (almost) but nice quality guitar for beginners and pros alike
Couldn't ask for much more if anything for the price...
Mod Bound
Perfect platform to mod @ the right price for what you get...Good body & great neck
Great starter guitar for the money!
Bought the Ruby Red (Pinkish), very 80's color! Didn't need setup, intonation was good, pickup was good, action was good. I've paid more and got none of that! I can say it exceeded my expectations! I put some lube on the nut and if you don't go crazy with the dive bombs stays in tune okay. Neck was great and plays well. The guitar resonates well also so very happy with the quality to price ratio! Not going to change a thing!
Best money spent I dive bomb stays in tune
I can't believe this guitar .it stays in tune I don't see no reason to do anything to this guitar.i maybe put some locking tuners on it but .it's ready out of the box I am getting several of these guitars .I love them Kramer has definitely got it right .my credit is not so good at the moment.so I pay for them at checkout...it feels good in the hand man I am impressed and happy.this is a rock machine.iff you adjust it correctly it stays in tune.all the time tuners are good I am very happy with the Kramer baretta special guitars buy one or five of them you want regret it ..if it ain't broke don't fix it ...
This guitar RIPS!
Efficient in its simplicity and beyond fun to play, this gem is not only a great way to start on guitar, but it deserves a spot in any collection. It's single humbucker sounds FANTASTIC, and the single volume knob is all you need! This guitar plays like a dream, and for under $... there's not much that can compare.
I LOVE THIS THING!!
I cant put this thing down!! I own too many guitars, if there is such a thing. give this doll a little TLC,(lube the ne nut, setup the way you like) and it Rips!! Neck feels great, no fret sprout. Pickup is good!! I like it so much, I accidentally bought two more. I did throw a set of inexpensive locking tuners on her, which, I feel made a huge difference. i spent a couple of hours one night dive bombing trying to get this thing OUT of tune! I had an'86 Pacer that i loved, and this just felt like my old girl. I did slightly modify its appearence as a tribute to this countrys forefathers. I cant wat for the next two!
Great guitar, with tuning issues.
Guitar plays and sounds great. Do not touch the tremelo, it will go out of tune really bad really fast. I bought Fleor locking tuners from Amazon, and put a Bladerunner tremelo I had been saving on it. It stays in tune so well now I can't believe it. Sup RT guitar. I've been playing for over 30 years and this is probably the best guitar I've ever owned. If your willing to do some upgrades I highly recommend this guitar.
Fun guitar . Lots of issues
Guitar came set up horribly . Had some high frets which rendered it unplayable . The trem is horrible . Tuners were real bad . Fret edges were sharp. Took a bit to get it playable . Added new tuners and bridge . Like $ . Leveled all the frets and filed the ends . Now it's a decent playing guitar that stays In tune . $ is cheap . But if u look around u can find an 80s Japanese guitar like a lotus for cheaper and will we way better quality and better playability.
Not for everyone
My wife bought one of these for me and I returned it. It just wasn't for me. Some things to consider:
1. The whammy bar is dive bomb only
2. The single pickup is not very "hot"
3. The tuners are questionable
4. The factory setup was off
I figured I'd need to drop the equivalent of the cost of the guitar and a fair amount of time to get this to where I would enjoy it. Because of the tuners and intonation, I would not recommend it for a beginner either.
Aside from the above, the rest of the build was good, so I can't say totally stay away from it, but this was just my experience.
