Replaced a well-worn stand

By Joey Geisel from ARLINGTON, TX on February 15, 2024

Our last K&M One-hand stand lasted for many years, thankful for the quick shipping by Sweetwater to the Grace House of Prayer!

Oh, where have you been all my life!

By Laura from Upstate NY on June 16, 2019 Music Background: Full time musician

I do about 350 show/programs a year so I blow through mic stands as they get loose and don"t hold positions. I find it hard in my aging hands to twist regular stands to tighten.

This clutch stand is amazing and solves a number of problems. Even if it wears out, the convenience it offers is worth it.

I"ll never go back.

Tall for it's age

By Sweetwater Customer on October 7, 2018

Well made and the clutch works well. However, you should know:
Because of the clutch, it is 5-6 inches taller than a typical mic
stand with a regular clutch.
Which is too bad because the stand is already about as tall as you would want
it with a boom attached.
Would be better if the stalk was about 6" shorter.

Too tall and the clutch handle is made of plastic.

Unfortunately this stand is about 6" taller than your regular straight mic stands--which makes it impractical for most of my applications. The plastic clutch handle feels like it's going to break if you try to adjust your boom arm (if you add one) under any tension (as most singers do).
