Equipment that's light & durable is always of great appeal. These stands are certainly in that category, and I certainly won't complain about that! But despite these great features, they do come with some tradeoffs.

For mains that have pole inserts that are fairly far aft, these stands will show some not-insignificant flex. This is particularly concerning when using an angle tilter on the mains; it can put things even more out of balance. It's not ideal, but they're still perfectly usable this way, but perhaps not at the advertised weight? I'm not too keen on testing the listed 88 lb capacity.

On the topic of angle tilters, I learned fairly early on that these stands are *particularly* susceptible to denting when tightening down the angle tilters onto the poles…which is not exactly what I was hoping for. In a way, it's a perfectly understandable tradeoff for aluminum stands, but I was hoping for a tad more durability there than what I got.

All that said, I won't be giving them up any time soon; they are pretty good and again, they are incredibly light. It has made transporting them an absolute breeze over year I've used them. But K&M does have better stands out there.
