K&M 21070 Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom Arm - Black Reviews
The K&M 21070 microphone stand is a prime choice for studios on a budget. As a consequence of its resilient zinc die-cast base with long folding legs, this all-metal stand is remarkably sturdy. At Sweetwater, we don't sweat putting our high-end mics on the 21070 - it's stable enough to handle them. A simple clutch makes height adjustment a piece of cake. The K&M 21070 microphone stand's fixed boom arm features a square swivel joint and large wing nut for easy boom adjustment and clamping.

Best Stands Period!
We've tried all the rest and feel K&M are the best! Very good quality that stands up to lots of use. Simplicity and high quality parts set these stands at the top of our list. They may be a few dollars more but they last so much longer!
Best mic stands
I have quite a few cheaper mic stands and they all have various issues. After deciding to spend a bit more on K&M stands, I can see how these will last forever. Made extremely well with quality materials and will work out much better for my rental PA.
Solid feel, proven quality
After having a number of cheaper stands perform badly before breaking on me, I have started replacing them with K&M. So far I am in love, they perform far better than the other ones ever did and it feels like they will last much longer. Have had Ultimate, Gator and Onstage stands in the past. You can tighten these much more than the other stands without it feeling like it will wear out. Superior product.
Great mic stand
A solid made stand with no plastic parts with weight to it. By far the best stand I have ever owned.
solid, won't get knocked over.
this stand is much better than on stage stands mic stands.
I had 2 on stage mic stands on the stage in my music room. every time you bumped in to them they would get knocked over. that is why I had 2 mics damaged.
I have bumped in to these stands sevral times and have not knocked them over.
Also, we have partys alot, and people sometimes get rowdy and jump around, so i'm glad I got these.
Now I can easily see why K and M mic stands are regarded as some of the best in the industry.
as always, thanks to Riley Koenemann and sweetwater for grait servace!
Spend A Little More
I have another cheaper mike stand with telescoping boom arm. The boom arm on it has to be tightened often or it will slip and twist when you adjust the mike. Plus the height adjustment on the stand is hard to turn. My new K&M stand is easy to adjust, especially the height, and then it stays put. The stand is well made and folds down small to fit in the stand bag. I wish I would have bought this one first.
Solid performer
It's distressing that this mic stand _looks_ so much like the cheapie knock-offs but _feels_ like the real deal! Just pulling this out of the box I knew instantly where the extra money was going -- not in making it look exceptional but in making it actually solid, easy to use, and giving one the impression right away of what it is (e.g, "a mic stand") and what it isn't (e.g "I hope I can make it through this gig without the thing falling apart!"). It's nice to have something like this that really sets a price/performance bar to compare any other mic stands to.
this is definitely the ol' tried'n'true and clearly a lot of people think it works well because there are so many cheapie knock-offs of this general design! In any case, I definitely "like" it and am very happy to have it in the studio! I have several more on the way and am perfectly pleased about that.
K&M Mic Stand with Fixed Boom Arm
Compared to the competition, this is the one to get. Good for a lighter use stand. Not for the touring band, as there are some plastic parts that I could see breaking under heavier use. Overall, I would definitely buy these again, for lighter use.
solid stand
Well built, easily adjustable, mic stays where I put, it and was priced right.
Overall, a good product for a good price.
Really nice for a home studio.
