Fantastic Resolution and Clarity

By fertilesound from Midwest US on February 13, 2024 Music Background: Semi-Pro

I've had mine for 3 years now, coming from a pair of Event TR8s which I still use as the 'B' speakers in a dual monitor setup. Compared to the Events, the resolution and clarity in all the major frequency ranges on the 310s is outstanding. The low end is tight and focused, the mid-range defined and unsmeared, the upper-mid-range is precise and smooth, and the top end brilliant and clear without sounding harsh or hyped.

I can't speak for a lot of other monitors, but I A/B tested these 310s at the same time with a pair of Focal Twin6 Be 6.5 inch 3-ways and the Neumanns were the clear winners in my setup, wasn't even a hard decision.

Right Side Love

By Brock from Pittsburgh on August 10, 2023 Music Background: Producer

I just noticed that the KH 310 Left Side monitor has 20 user reviews, while the Right Side monitor only had 4 reviews. I must say the Right Side speaker is every bit as good as the Left. I mean, it's almost like they are a mirror image of one another. 100% would buy again, no hesitation.

Wonderful monitor

By Mehrdad on November 1, 2017 Music Background: Sound engineer & pianist

I have dynaudio mk ii and focal twin 6 and genelc 8050a and when I buy Neumann kh 310 I think all of these monitors have problems in different places.
In dynaudio:low frequency is leaking and mid ranges Is crowd.
In focal twin 6:low frequency is small and when you use eq behinds of monitors your sound in mid range crowded.high frequency is dry & harsh and all sound is like line.so you can't make images and depth.and all of sounds is in your face.
But in Neumann kh 130 I can't believe how engineers work on that.it's like wonderful chocolate
Never try other monitors.....believe me .low frequency is very stable, mid range is clean and the hi range is very soft

Very Honest Speakers

By Nicholas G from Ontario on February 23, 2017 Music Background: Mix Engineer

The Neumann KH 310 pack a nasty punch with great low end responce and clear mid range. the top is nice and silky a little smoothed out. What ever your mix sounds like on these guys in a good room, it will sound like that everywhere.

Highly recommend

I was on the fence between the ATC scm25s and KH 310s. Been able to use both in other studios i've worked at. Instantly feel in love with the detail and clarity from the ATCs, but the sub-bass was always a bit of an issue. The bass, honestly, sounds pretty wonky to me, from them. Everything above is fantastic, but I work as a film composer, so sub-bass monitoring is necessary. ATC has got specific feelings about bass management that make sense to a degree (basically, don't use it at all), but i wasn't about to spend another $8000 to test it. The scm25 bass that's already coming out really doesn't sound that accurate to my ears to begin with, for the sound didn't translate on other systems for me. My old Mackies were honestly better for monitoring this.

I had one encounter with the KH310s and they seems pretty decent. Was still leaning towards the ATCs, but the sub-bass stuff threw me off. Thus, i've fully jumped in on a purchase of the KH 310s with this 805 sub. Now in use, honestly, i feel i have all the detail i was getting from the ATCs and the sub-bass is just clear. My space is fully treated, acoustically... bass trap and all the other sorts. Highly recommend.

Jaw-dropping sound!

By Doug from Maryland on October 17, 2013 Music Background: Musician/engineer/producer

I purchased these based on online reviews, so I didn't know quite what to expect. But at the risk of sounding cliché, I truly am hearing things I've never heard before. Listening to The Beatles' Abbey Road as a test was revelatory. Listening to a bunch of my old mixes from the last 30 years was even more revelatory. Sheesh... I wish I'd had these back in the '80s. Maybe I'd have a Grammy by now. Easily the best near-field monitors I've ever heard.
