great Amp, and I will say Sweetwater staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Pro Sound at Budget Price
I ordered this from Sweetwater this summer for my son who performs electronic music. Since it is his amp I can only rate this product from the point of view of a listener and active participant in helping him set-up. The first one notices about this amp is sturdiness - it seems to be well-constructed and durable. The looks of the amp and the appearance of control panel exudes a vaguely retro 60s vibe — those black chicken head knobs add to the vintage feel. As far as sound . . . Crisp and Clean — at least to my ears. The KB-1 was able to take the hot input from my son's Moog synth and delivered sparkling highs, nice mids, and surprisingly a small amp, deep and mellow lows — and all of this without the expected rattling and buzzing. This is a 2-channel amp and each channel has its own volume and hi/lo frequency control. My son often plugs a synth in each channel — usually a Moog through one channel and a Modal through the other. I've listened as he played both synths simultaneously through the amp using both channels and — although I'm no expert in sound engineering — I can report the sound coming out of the amp didn't seem muddied or muddled and each instrument could be heard clearly. FYI to potential buyers — take a look at the KB-1 product video Sweetwater has up on its website. One good thing about Sweetwater is that if you decide you don't like something — send it back. I've never had to send anything back, but it's nice to know they have no-hassle returns. Finally, for a product at this price point, it seems the KB-1 delivers and is an excellent value.
Son Love it!
I brought this for my vision impaired son to go along with his keyboard. My son taught his self how to play music by ear. He was born at 1 ounce at birth. He is a miracle young man. He plays for our church. Someone broke into our church and stole all of our instruments. I am a single mother and I wasn't able to replenish back what they had stolen. Our church had about 5 members. I took the last money that I had gotten from taxes and brought him another keyboard, not like the one that was stolen, because it was a very expensive keyboard, a gift for my son. We're recovering little by little. So, Yes he is a very happy camper that I brought this for him!

Peavey/Yamaha
Made this online purchase from Mr. Aric Ficek for my 9 year old granddaughters birthday! This amp is well suited for her and the Yamaha Reface Combo portable keyboard piano also purchased too. Thank You Aric and Sweetwater team!
Peavey KB1 amp
I purchased this little amp strictly for home use and it fits the bill to a tee! Many amps out there but thanks to Sweetwater's knowlegable sales engineers, they helped me to decide. I am very happy with it. THANKS!

20-watt Keyboard amp Peavey KB1
I like this Peavey KB 1 Amp because it is great sounding .
It has very good qualities makes my keyboard sound awesome
Great Little Amp
I have owned Peavey amps in the past for guitars and always loved them. I got this for my Beatbuddy to record with a mic. Very solid amp for drums and has decent power for its size. The speaker is solid and takes the bass and highs well. I like that it has two channels and a headphone jack. I also like the controls on top which is ideal for my use. Great little speaker for the price.
peavy kb 1
Lots of quality sound for the money
Peavy Keyboard Amplifier
I purchased this 20 watt amplifier for my daughter who i had just purchased a Piano Keyboard. It iis perfect for that aplication, it has two inputs with seperate control. So now I can not add a mike input to allow her to pay and sing. Just what I needed good sound quality. I liked it so much I have purchased another one for the keyboard at our church and the musician really loves it.
Peavey amp
Good size, good sound, good value- pleased with this purchase!
OK for small spaces
I purchased this amp primarily to have something to play through practicing at home. It is fine for that purpose, and I have used it as a monitor. It may be ok for a very small venue but is definitely limited in output. Turning the volume up too high on your board can quickly result in clipping and distortion. But it does well within its limitations.
Nice amp for small venues
I bought this keyboard amp for use in a small church sanctuary. Combined with my owner 2-track mixer, dynamic mic for vocals, and keyboard, it makes for a good PA and keyboard amplifier for worship services. It certainly is a rugged little amp and provides a clear tone. The only thing I was was that the knobs on top were a little tighter for fine tuning adjustments.
Sturdy well made utilitarian amp
As always Peavey makes a product built to withstand the test of time at a great price. This amp is not what you want in a studio recording setting but as a two channel practice amp or as an on stage powered keyboard monitor it does a decent job. Great value, great quality, sounds like you would expect, makes your keyboard louder.
Alright, get 2 for stereo
Not bad for the price (get them used if you can though). I have 2 that I plug into a Nord keyboard for practicing on my own. With just 1, the sound is pretty sub-par and sounds really small and boxy. Acoustic pianos, rhodes, B3, etc all have a stereo aspect to their sound so get 2 of them, turn up the highs a bit with the eq knob, if they're on the ground, tilt them up, and they sound decent enough to have a nice practice experience.
Not that great
Was not very pleased for
My piano. Poor fidelity and distortion.
