Kala Teak Tri-Top Tenor Acoustic-electric Ukulele - Natural Reviews
The Teak Tri-Top Tenor Acoustic-electric Ukulele from Kala is a truly stunning, one-of-a-kind uke that will delight beginning and advanced players alike. The Tri-Top features an all-teak body for wonderful tone and a truly captivating visual presentation. Teak is a Southeast Asian hardwood known for its durability, varied grain, and striped pattern in different hues of brown and reds. A stunning triangular strip of mahogany runs down the center of the Tri-Top for a mesmerizing complement of reddish orange to the brown hues of the teak top. A meranti neck with nandu fingerboard offers great response and playability. When you are ready to plug in, a Mings MET-A20 and active EQ provide outstanding amplified uke tone. And here at Sweetwater, uke enthusiasts love the smooth, deep Florentine cutaway that provides access to those higher notes!

Uke is fun!
Wanted an inexpensive uke for a couple songs with a pickup and Bob Furlong came through with a great choice. Then I needed a battery powered amp and A/B pedal and Bob helped with all. Glad to be a Sweetwater customer for 18 years!

Stupendous! LOL
Kala Teak Tri Top Tenor Acoustic-electric Ukelele Natural
Very nice ukelele for the money not 100 percent flawless on the finish sounds nice electronics work good holds tune fairly well only four stars think they can do a little better on fret ends very sharp was almost going to return and spend more for a better modelbut buying it didn't break the bank and it looks nice and a lot of fun learning on this ukelele. only con frets protrude a bit much and could cut you
Won't play in tune, and tuner doesn't work, sharp fret ends
Problem 1: The tuner would turn on, but didn't register any notes.
Problem 2: The first couple frets were not in tune, likely a nut slotted too high. Not good news for the ukulele cowboy chords.
Problem 3: The fret ends were extremely sharp, as in dangerous to the human hand, risk of laceration.
Returned.
