Adamas K1818 Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings - .012-.053 Light Reviews

.012-.053 Light Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings, Phosphor Bronze

Adamas K1818 phosphor bronze acoustic guitar strongs are noted for their exceptionally balanced tone. Much of that is because Adamas employs a special technique to ensure that the core and wrap wire on the fifth and sixth strings are of the same size. What this does, is make sure that the string vibrates evenly across its many modes — with no one component of the string dominating the overall tonal response. You'll enjoy a rich sound, with full and even tone throughout the harmonic range, with Adamas's K1818 phosphor bronze acoustic guitar strings.

Early Wow!

By Mouthy1 from Seattle, WA on March 19, 2013 Music Background: hobby player with little skill...

Very early but so far I have a big WOW. Makes my lam sides and back recording king ROS16 sound like a ful orchestra! I acknowledge it is still pretty darn early but man, I am thinking about putting them on my Larrivee too!

A faithful fan of Adamas

By Gary H from Woodland Hills, CA on March 4, 2013 Music Background: Guitarist for many years.

I have used these strings since they came out, on Martin, Ovation, Takamine's, Sada Yairi guitars. Exceptional warm, true tone and harmonics are it's defining features. Pretty long-lasting too. I thought these strings were out of production and have been hoarding them, while trying other brands to replace them. I'm glad they are still around because I prefer to use these strings until I die. And leave some sets behind for my guitars.

Best for the money!

By Frank E. Millis, Sr. from Wheat Ridge, Colorado USA on June 20, 2011 Music Background: retired professional musician, now a hobbyist.

I've been playing acoustic guitars, sometimes for a living, since 1948 (!) and these are the very best strings I've ever tried for the money. Phosphor Bronze, and they seem to last forever without losing their tone. They stay in tune quite well on my Recording King RDC 36. I now play mostly Country, Bluegrass and Gospel Grass.

Stand out

These are my favorite strings.I have tried almost all brands but these are great on my washburn guitar.

Discolored and Rusty

By Chuck from Amherst, Ohio on February 5, 2014 Music Background: Luthier, Hobbyist

I usually buy 3-4 sets at a time, so I've had these strings for awhile. I noticed the fourth string was a little discolored, The third string was worse and the first string was rusty. I'm also not impressed with the tone. My Takamine sounds real tinny and cheap. I'll give them a week, but I'm sure I'll be changing them.

Do Not Buy These Strings

By John from Central Indiana on May 27, 2013 Music Background: In a band over 10 years, praise and worship at church,

I buy strings in advance of needing them. I bought these and had them for a while, then decided to put them on a Seagull I picked up. The high E and B strings were RUSTY !!! No plastic vacuum pack !!! Would never buy again ! I will stick with Dean Markley Alchemy and Gibson strings.
