I purchased this 7 years ago and forgot to give this a 5-star review. I still own this demo version bag and at the time, it was $. It was meant to protect the original QSC K12 speakers. I'm glad I bought it because it's the best investment to protect your unit! It definitely protects your speakers.

Good quality bag for more than K 12

By RMRausch from Annapolis MD on September 16, 2022 Music Background: Too long in the biz

Good quality bag for more than K 12
I bought these bags to carry my Meyer sound 12 inch subs as well as Meyer sound X 40s. Both of those cabinets fit perfectly in the K 12 bag.I knew about the bags because I Have been using K10's and K8.2'as monitors for several years. Also, I purchased 2K 10 bags to carry my Meyer sound X 20s. Those are the perfect height for the X 20, but because the bag is wider there's room to carry wires. other small accessories. As usual, the team and Mark Bruhn at Sweetwater always does a good job with recommendations and prompt delivery.

By Sonsie from WA on August 31, 2020

This is obviously meant for protection and travel! Thick pads, zippers all around, and solid cloth. Not super quick to throw over the top as a dust cover - but your amp will stay safe.

I have learned that if you want to keep your equipment looking and performing their best, it's important to protect them against not only the elements, but also against the wear and tear of moving from gig to gig.The QSC bag is perfect in every aspect.

Only wish the pocket was a little bigger to fit both a power cord and long speaker cord...there's room to tuck the speaker cable inside with the cab though. Tough padding...we like this.

Sweeeeeet equipment

By Victor Alvarez from New Mexico, USA on January 31, 2020 Music Background: Cuban Music

Just purchased two new QSC gen 2 speakers from Sweetwater. These speakers are fenomenal as a Latin/Cuban band, I require a low bottom but also a good high end for world, cowbell etc. it's unbelievable that just these 12" speakers can deliver that and more with absolutely no noise and plenty of power to push a 6 pc band in dance situations as well as shows. I brought subs to the first gig. After that issue up with my 12's and we sound great!! I thank the guys at Sweetwater for all their recommendations and help in getting us just the right stuff, allowing me to give more attention to the music.

QSC K12 Tote Padded Speaker Bag for K12

By Bob from Summerville, SC on September 23, 2018 Music Background: Professional

When I found out how awesome my K12 powered speakers were I said to myself these bad boys need to have some protection so they can continue to look as good as they perform. The QSC K12 Tote bags are perfect. Great storage for the power cord too. I haven't try this yet but they have a little flap over the pole mount hole where maybe you don't even have to take the speaker out of the bag. Just mount the speaker and unzip the front flap. I give these a "three thumbs up"!

Great Product

By Jonas Palmer from Memphis on March 16, 2018 Music Background: semi-pro

I essentially got these for free when I bundled them with the K12.2 mains. Offers top protection for your investment! I like that I can stand them up and slide my speakers straight down into them. They have a flap on the end where I can access the top handle on the speaker and move them easily (keeping them upright). I place them straight up on my rack-n-roll cart and take them where I need!!

Well, what can you say about a tote bag. This is a well constructed bag which fits the K12 comfortably. There is additional storage for cables and such. Makes transporting the unit easy and protects it from damage.
Very satisfied and would recommend getting one to protect such a high quality piece of hardware.

Great bags!

By Rick from Nashville on May 3, 2017

Obviously being custom made for the K12, these fit perfect. They have flaps that open for the handles so you can either use the large bag handles, or the handles that are built into the K12s themselves. Super easy to use and do a great job protecting your mains. Highly recommend.

Awesome Totes!

By Brad from Norfolk, VA on February 15, 2016 Music Background: Occasional Professional

I ordered a pair of these totes about 2-3 weeks ago and had my first opportunity to use them this past weekend. The side pouch is perfect for keeping the power cord and a 50' XLR cable... I also love the velcro'ed flap that gives access to the K12's recessed handle... Brilliant!!!

After investing a pair of K12's, there's no question that these will protect my investment when transporting!!!

Durable, Well Constructed Bag

By Tim from MI on August 25, 2011 Music Background: Pro Musician

I bought two of the K12 totes to protect my investment during transport. Now I don't have to be so conscientious about scratching or denting my speakers when loading them in and out of a vehicle. They look very sharp and professional. They advertise, "I care about my gear!" Granted, the tote padding is only about a 1/4" thick. It's really all you need to prevent minor damage: scratches, dings. It's not like you're going to purposely bang around an $800 speaker because you know you have ample padding surrounding it. The nylon canvas is very durable. However, I get a little nervous holding it by the handles, though they feel sturdy. I can't help staring at where they're sewn to the sides wondering "what if" they ever break? Probably not, I'm just being paranoid. I'm happy with these and once you see the quality and construction the price isn't that bad. Afterall, someone had to take the time to assemble the bag. And, the QSC logo is embroidered on the side. If you're contemplating buying these you must ask yourself, what's $85 compared to $800 if it will prevent scratches?

K12 Carry Bag

By Kent Davis from West Palm Beach on March 16, 2022

Great bag for my 12.2s. Nice and sturdy. Room enough in the side pocket for power cord and cable. Velcro flip back flap makes it easy to grab the speaker handle. One of the zipper pull tabs was snapped off in the packaging - easy $2 fix. Very happy! Thanks and kudos, as always to Lee Cook and the Team at Sweetwater!

Nice!

By LC from Anaheim, Ca on December 17, 2018 Music Background: Bass/Vocals/PA - Cover Band

Nice quality bags for our main speakers. The material is thick, nicely padded and durable. They seem like they will last a long time. The zippers have been good so far but I am wondering how they will hold up with repeated use, so I'll be careful with them. The strap handles are kinda short... they come together just enough to just barely be able to get the velcro to close around them (or maybe the velcro closure should be wider?), but not a huge deal. LOVE the velcro flap on the speaker handle end of the bag to be able to lift these from the end with the cases still on... awesome. The pockets on the sides could be very slightly larger in order to be able to more comfortably fit both the mic cable and the power cable inside, but if you roll them smaller they "just" fit and you can get the velcro closed, so that's fine. Overall, they're durable, clean, and classy... very professional.

Great tote!

Great Tote Bag

By Ron Graham from Dallas, TX on June 14, 2014 Music Background: Hobbyist

The K12 Tote bag is great for making transportation easier while at the same time protecting your investment in the K12 speakers. No more hassle of having to dig the right cable out of a bag full of mic and speaker cables! Your speaker cable and power cable fit in the bag nicely on the backside of the speaker. The side pouch is only really big enough for the power cable.

QSC Tote Bags for K12 Speakers

By Chris I. from Racine, WI on August 22, 2013 Music Background: Musician

As great as the QSC K12 speakers are, they are very susceptible to scuffing and scratching. These bags eliminate that, protect the speakers and certainly make them easier to transport.

That said, I didn't give them the full five=star rating because they are far too expensive for what they are...just nylon totes with (what appears to be a very expensive) embroidered QSC logo.

QSC K12 Totes Rock

By John Schindhelm from Milwaukee, WI on May 6, 2013 Music Background: Studio/Live Sound Engineer/Musician

These tote bags from QSC are of very high quality. Makes it pretty easy to carry to K12s at a time and the quality of these bags provide excellent protection.

Over priced

By Loxx on September 26, 2023

Does the job. The height is somewhat snug fitting, but not a problem. I'd prefer a zipper to keep the pocket closed. Velcro doesn't cut it as I've the seen the flap open unintentionally in transit and spill out its contents. The access flap to the top speaker handle is convenient, and carrying straps feel sturdy. The tote bags are a must when constantly moving from venue to venue. Keeps the speakers protected and looking like new. Would give it 5 stars if the price point was more reasonable.

Replacement for a prior cover

By H2K from USA on September 2, 2022 Music Background: Nearly 50 years busy part time.

Some brief history, I purchased K 12s about 10 years ago and bought covers for them. I have since upgraded to K 12.2s and was able to use the original covers. They eventually started getting thin and then the zipper failed. So this is a replacement. The good news is that it keeps the speakers looking good, easy to transport, and protected. The downside is the cost.

Worth every penny ...

By dennisnv from Lake Tahoe area on June 12, 2017 Music Background: Composer, musician, producer

The outer material is thick (or if you prefer "heavy") and should stand up for many years. The padding is plenty thick enough to protect the speakers from bumps and vibrations. The bag is just the right amount of "over size" to allow for easy zipping while keeping the speaker snug. There is sufficient room inside to pack extra padding (I keep old towels for such things) around the speaker for rough trips. The outer pocket holds the electric cord easily with room for a few more odds and ends but it won't hold a long (30-foot +/-) heavy duty speaker cable. Since the speakers are heavy by themselves you'd likely want to tote big speaker cables separately anyhow. The design allows for easy insertion and removal of the speakers by myself. My two totes stack nicely together onto a dolly for easy transport. The straps are plenty strong and are connected to the totes securely; these won't fail. The stitching is heavy duty and well done. These bags scream quality; to me they are worth every penny.

Good bag for the K12

By Bob from Texas on April 26, 2016

After spending $$$$ for my K12's I wanted to protect them well. These do the job but you still have to be careful. Padded case protects but you can't toss them around or you'll dent the K12 grills, especially around the sides. But I prefer this to any other solution I've seen.

I bought these totes for my Yamaha speakers. Yamaha make a cover but there is no place for the power cable. I have these on a set of K10 and have had zero problems. Good quality and easy to use on the pole if needed.

QSC K12 Tote

By James E. from Allen, TX USA on November 19, 2014 Music Background: Sound Engineer

Lightweight Cover - Protects From Scratches

By Dustin Drase from Chicago, IL on September 22, 2014 Music Background: Mobile DJ

In terms of keeping your speaker investment free from unnecessary scratches, this is a great investment. The major downside is that the side pocket barely holds the power cord, let alone a cord and anything additional such as an XLR. This could have easily been solved by making the top flap a bit longer or widening the pocket. That small grip aside, the zipper seems solid, and the padding, while minimal, does seem to provide an adequate amount of protection against transport damage.

Nice Tote!!!

By 3dognate on August 29, 2013 Music Background: Hometown Guitar Hero

It's a bag... a nice one. Can't imagine I'll ever be BLOWN AWAY by a tote. But there is certainly no reason to pick 3rd party bag or cover unless of course you want a lesser or equivelent bag.

Good fit for the K12s, tough and durable.

Not too shabby

By Sweetwater Customer from Cincinnati, OH on March 11, 2011 Music Background: Recording and Live Sound Engineer, Musician, Hobbyist

The K12 tote does exactly what it's designed to do. It protects your K12 (or similarly sized) speaker from damage during transport. There's a side pocket which fits the power cable and a speaker cable nicely. There's also a flap on one end you can use for either the handle on the top of the speaker or for the speaker pole. Construction is good, padding isn't as thick as I'd hoped, but is sufficient. The price is just a little bit high for such a basic case.

It's A Well Made Case!

By Shane on August 8, 2016

The material is obviously durable, but its shape suggests that you put your speaker in face down. I found out early on that this is not good for the roughness of the road. While it will protect from scratches and moisture, dents in the grill can happen quite easily. Some sturdy foam, or even some hard plastic on the bottom would've made this case much more protective. So if you get one, I suggest laying your speaker in sideways. I've never had cases for my loudspeakers in the past, so this is definitely a plus!

K12 tote (2)

By Rick A. D. from So. Ca. on January 20, 2015 Music Background: performing Musician, Hobbyist, Live Sound Engineer by default

I been hesitant on purchasing these for some time. But now that I am using the K12's for my band primarily, i thought it be a good idea for optimum protection? Well yes, i suppose they do protect better in adverse conditions? I Haven't came across that issue yet. But I most likely will NOT be using my K12 / Ksub outdoors in Adverse weather (rain) conditions anyways.
I always transport these in the box they came in with the plastic cover over them inside. They were squared and were best suited for transport via pick up truck and went onto my dolly best this way. Plus they are stored in my "music" room shared with our orphaned cat Oreo. In a box no cat hair ,no cat pee or vomit can get on the speakers. The totes do collect hair and dirt not a big deal really though. But i found after my 1st use -getting these into the bags after a 4 hour gig was a bit awkward and troublesome. You have to lift them and place them into the bag no matter how you slice it. The bag will not be very cooperative in this process. But It can be done. After 4 hour gig wrestling these into the bags is kinda a drag and troublesome. Not much but enough. All i'm stating is the box and plastic was working well for me. So now I keep them in the Tote bag(s) and when I get home- cool they can still fit int he box for optimum storage / protection. Good things: the zipper pouch to carry power chord/ a xlr cable. (not enough room for an extension cable though, I can live with that.) I like the velcro handle door for one hand lift/transport. I suppose they will block out wind and any water and possible spilled beverages should they occur? Not so good: Expensive. I got Sweetwater to price match a lower price and had a $50.00 gift cert. so the cost was down to me which made it a no brainer to get the Tote's. As much as these QSC K12 's cost they should come with the covers. I think they would sell more that way? But what do i know? They are good to have, though i still keep my K12 's in the box. Now after 3 years -not a scratch or a ding on them. Still look brand new.
3.5 rating for being a bit of a hassle and struggle. Pricey.
4.0 Good quality material. Nuff' said.

They will break in 2 years if you play full time

By Tom from Riccobono on September 1, 2019 Music Background: Full time professional Solo Entertainer in New York City

I know these bags are fragile from the many speaker bag cases I've owned in the last 20 years. These are pricey and I don't know why. ...the zippers will fail in a year and the zipper handles will all break My girlfriend who is a part time seamstress fixed them many times as all the threads will come loose and the zipper detached. Even with the case you grills will become marred and dented. I only only mad because now I need to speak another... because the bags are not made to last but I have no choice. So there you have it. A review from the very experienced.

Good... For 3 months.

By Scott M from NY on August 20, 2017 Music Background: Mobile DJ- 7 Years

I have two QSC K12's both with these Totes and they always wear holes in all four bottom corners where the speaker's front breaks through the fabric. I carry it always as it is shown, 5x/week. The zippers rip out of the fabric and break within 6 months. I like the totes, they just need to last longer. If they reinforced those corner areas and the zippers it would be fantastic with a five star rating.

Cute but cheaply made

By Leisa from New Jersey on September 1, 2015 Music Background: Horn Player/One Woman Band

The bags look good as you bring your gear in and out. I have had by bags for less than a year and the covering has holes wearing in them. I am very gentle with my gear (I am a woman) and for some reason this is happening. Now as for the hardware (zippers) they are very good.

Poor zipper
