Solidbody Electric Guitar with Alder Body, Maple Neck, Pau Ferro Fretboard, 2 Humbucking Pickups, and Tremolo - Buttercream

The Fender Player Series Jazzmaster reimagines the classic offset guitar for modern players. While the offset alder body and floating vibrato tailpiece remain true to the original, the Player Series Jazzmaster boasts a pair of humbucking pickups with impressive touch sensitivity and clarity. Whether you're playing clean or with a ton of fuzz, you've got a huge range of tone to explore just between the 3-way pickup selector and volume and tone knobs. All this at a price for working musicians makes the Fender Player Series Jazzmaster a value-packed guitar you shouldn't miss.

Amazing guitar

By Jerry L LaVine from Plymouth IN on January 28, 2021 Music Background: Gig musician

This guitar is exactly what I was looking for. The tone options are endless and the tremolo system is amazing very stable and stays in tune. No complaints Fender great job! As far as Sweetwater I can't say enough how impressed with the customer service and professional service. Sweetwater you are #1 in my book. I won't buy anywhere else from this point forward. I picked my guitar up at the store and was treated like royalty the whole time. A major thanks to Dante Harris. He was my first impression of Sweetwater and I really appreciate his individual professionalism. He deserves a raise. Thanks again Sweetwater.

Sweet guitar!

By Gene Clarke from Oregon on January 12, 2021 Music Background: Started playing just out of high school and am now learning to build/repair/modify guitars

I first starting looking at this guitar as a modding platform for a particular build I had in mind. After checking reviews and demos and waiting for a few months,I pulled the trigger and ordered one.The guitar is so nice as is that I think for now I'm just going to leave it original. There is really nothing that needs up-graded,the pick-ups are fine,Fender stepped up its game on the Player series and it sounds and plays great. In person, the buttercream color is slightly more yellowish than it looked in the pics on the Sweetwater website, giving it a nice vintage flavor. The Pau Ferro fretboard has a nice reddish tint that pops with the buttercream. My sales engineer,Jake Trethaway, got this purchase put together and on its way in nothing flat, ordered on Tuesday,at my door on Friday.Jake got me a great deal on a bundle and made buying from Sweetwater a good experience. Thanks to Joe Smith,Sweetwater Luthier,he really nailed the set-up and gave me exactly what I was after. All the way around,I could not be happier, and will never buy a guitar online from anyone else. Thanks Sweetwater!

Awesome with One Caveat

By Brandon from Newport News, Virginia on July 27, 2020 Music Background: professional

I bought this strictly to mod. Mine had been damaged on the bass side lower bout and was the perfect candidate to do custom work. It's now possibly my favorite guitar.

My only issue was that Fender does not use an F-spaced humbucker in the original bridge position, so finding a replacement was somewhat difficult. I bought both Shawbucker models from Sweetwater not realizing the Shawbucker 2 is NOT F-spaced. Luckily I know a guy who occasionally stocks F-spaced Gibson humbuckers.

With all the mods taken into account, this thing is super!
