Squier Paranormal Jazzmaster XII 12-string Electric Guitar - Olympic White Reviews
Through their Paranormal series, Fender’s introducing a host of unusual, unexpected, and downright distinct designs that put a compelling spin on the classics. Though the Jazzmaster body has seen plenty of configurations throughout the years, none have positively intrigued Sweetwater’s guitar gurus quite like this Jazzmaster XII! Masterfully blending vintage-style panache with contemporary appointments, this 12-string Squier sounds as fantastic as it looks. Fender-designed pickups, a graphite-reinforced maple neck, and a hybrid, fully adjustable hardtail bridge are just a few of the details to set this offset apart, all the while ensuring you’ve got the structural stability and sonic flexibility to squeeze every drop of tone out of this axe’s 12-string setup.

Amazing 12 string
What a great offering from Squier! the bridge is a super bonus at this price point, spacing of strings at the nut is perfect, many 12 strings are too tight at the nut for fat fingers. Simply put, if you are looking for a good 12 string, have no doubts about adding this one to the collection!
jangle!!!
This is the most playable 12 string I've ever played, the neck is barely wider than my strat. Squier is making more and more reasons not to bother with an actual Fender...
Sounds and plays well
Overall very nice .. I restrung it like a Ric to make it feel like what I'm used to .. a Ric .. nice Olympic White .. good fret job .. nice feeling neck .. nice sounding pickups
Wow.
Hey all. First I'd like to give a "shout out" to my sales engineer Tad Shaffer! He always provides the best deals.
I own some high end guitars and this guitar is on par with them. The QC is amazing on this piece. The fretwork is flawless, intonation is spot on, and the guitar is super resonant. This is the best "bang for your buck" 12 string.
Thank you Squier, Sweetwater and Tad Shaffer!

Exceeded expectations
Ive had other electric 12 string guitars in the past. Some where OK, some not so much.
This Fender 12 string plays and sounds awesome right out of the box!!
I like it so much that I ordered the hard case for it.
I'll be doing a few mods just for my personel taste, but its not neccessary.
Great job on this one Fender
And as usual SweetH2O was the best for speed of delivery and quality packaging.
Very happy
Cozy and Afforadable
I have been waiting to get a 12 string for a while, so when these were released, I knew I had to get one. It's very light weight and the neck is very comfortable to play compared to most 12 string necks. My buddy has a vintage Electric XII which is a ball to play, but the wear on the fretting hand is so real. I've been gigging with my Jazz XII and it's been a lot of fun. There is still wear of course but nothing terrible, and the way it grabs attention is pretty sick too. It's a weird and fun beast.
Blissful tool
This 12-string model is a nice fit with my existing arsenal. Build quality is fantastic. Squier has upped the threshold for instruments that are affordable and great looking (and sounding!)
Love at first sight.
I am still amazed at how "ChYna" is able to make these guitars for so cheap. Like everyone else said, the fit/finish is flawless. Olympic White/Maple/Tortoise finish is one of my favorites. The fretboard has flames all down it! My first 12 string ever, and it instantly went to "Tangerine," (LedZ III) "Wish you were here," and "Give a little bit." And like every other guitar I've bought, lessen the relief and lower the action. I bet intonation will be interesting, it needs it. I can't forget the HEADSTOCK. I wanted the "Maverick Dorado SO bad, but this will do! I may do a set of Fralin or Lollar p'ups, maybe not. Sounds wonderful though a stereo chorus. Fear not this guitar Earthling!
Absolutely floored by this guitar
I actually bought this guitar to use as "parts" to make a Frankenstein from an old Fender Electric XII body and neck I've had for 40 years, but when I got my hands on it, I was amazed. I sold the Fender body and neck and just kept this baby as is--the quality is great, the sound is phenomenal, the finish is gorgeous, and it's everything I need in an electric 12 string.
Incredible, and just what I was hoping for
I've wanted an electric 12-string for a long time, but don't use them in any of the bands I'm in, so it was hard to justify buying one. This Squier Paranormal Jazzmaster XII was just too perfect to pass up, though. It has all the chime I was hoping for, both as a 12 string but also as a Jazzmaster with those distinctive single coil pickups. The guitar came in perfect shape; fit and finish are flawless, and it was shipped fast! Thanks to Chris Kress for hooking me up with this awesomely fun guitar!
Exellent!
I love this guitar! I've stayed away from Squire for a long time because I was afraid of the quality not being up to par with the rest of fender. Although cheaper methods were used in building this guitar to get the costs down, it doesn't show in any obvious way. It feels and looks like a quality instrument and after receiving the guitar, my fears have vanished. The sound is great! Alnico magnets used in the pickups give it quality sound that holds up to the rest. I'm loving the neck pickup so far. I'm so glad fender finally put out another electric 12 string and I feel that this guitar might be a classic sought-after guitar one day!
I'm Kinda Floored
I'm not a little kid. When I was getting my 1st guitars in the 90's, there were brands that you stayed away from because you knew they were terrible. I hate to say it, but Squire was one of them. My how times have changed. I now own two Squire instruments and both are outstanding...but I'm here to write a review for the 12 string.
This guitar is phenomenal. 1st of all, you can't get any 12-string under $ unless it is a Dano. Nothing against Dano, but they're... quirky. Any decent 12-string electric will start around $ and quickly rocket up from there. This will absolutely hold its own against the Guild, Ibanez, or Reverand at more than twice the price. It played great out of the box. The fit and finish were flawless. The tuners felt great. My basement has a lot of RF so single coils like to make noise, but the Jazzmaster pickups were surprisingly quiet.
No one is coming to look at this guitar because they're just casually cruising from an instrument. Save that for the Teles or the Strats. If you're here, you're looking for a 12 string. I can tell you, this hits so far above its weight class that it isn't even funny. This would be a value at twice the price! Is it a Ric? No, of course it isn't. It's $. Is it awesome? Yes. Totally. Buy 8 of their guitars for your friends and you still haven't spent as much as a Ric. If you have to have a Ric, go buy one. (The financing is great.) If you want to dip your toe into a 12 string, this is perfect.
WOW! Squier has really stepped it up.
If you are looking for a 12 String electric that won't break the bank and is not a toy - this is it!
I was a bit skeptical of anything Squier because of past experiences. They felt and sounded cheap with barely any redeeming qualities. I saw that these were coming and really just discounted them but my Sales Engineer Ryan told me a lot has changed and he is right!
Plays great, sounds good (even though I may change the electronics) and is a huge bang for the buck!Lots of jangle and pretty easy playing for a 12.
Give it a shot if you're in the market for a 12 string electric that isn't a double neck Epi (i have one of them too). You will NOT be sorry!
