My new Fave!

Quick review - BUY IT.

I was hesitant on the color at first but decided to go with the KO. It's more brilliant IRL than the pics. Stunning color. I had it setup and PLEK'd. It plays amazing, lovely short scale, super quiet and the switching is perfect! Plays like a dream...don't hesitate!

Absolutely incredible instrument and easily Fender's best offset offering at the moment. I decided to hold of writing this because I was really digging it, but it's a joy to play whenever I open the case.

Pros:
- Probably the most versatile Jaguar I've played in terms of usability. I have my favorite settings, but I've used nearly every combination. Every pickup selection feels like it was meant to be the best.
- Tasteful modern updates. No antiquated floating bridge, 4 way switching and series option. So good that Fender has worked the series option into other offset production models since.
- Angled neck. No idea why this isn't standard for all models for optimal string tension.

Cons:
- Finish is exceptionally thin, even for nitro. I baby this thing with multi-care cleaning/polishing, and keeping it in the case when not in use. Yet there are still some marks from wrapping the cable and fine scratches. It's a bummer because it kinda sits in the back of your mind, and normal accidental bumps are extra stressful. I don't mind the aging or imperfections, but would prefer it to be more gradual.

- Pickup selector switch came off the first day. I've read this being the case for many others as well. For the price, it should really be more secure.

Overall:

You don't have to be a Smiths fan to find this guitar amazing. Most online demos are of the same tired songs, but be assured this thing takes dirt pedals really well. Special thanks to my sales Mitch for being patient as I searched for a high-quality offset. I can't imagine parting with it.

This is a Hot Rod Marr-Guar!!

This is the best sounding and most comfortable guitar I've ever played in my life and I am so happy that I own it. I tried to play one locally, but no one had it in stock so I purchased from Sweetwater online by going off of specs and reviews.

OMG, the first time I strummed it - not even plugged in, I nearly shed a tear. It sounded SO gorgeous and the short scale neck is perfect for my small hands. This guitar can really roar too, it makes me sound like I can play better which is amazing to me and because of the fast neck, my playing has improved greatly. I had been playing a MIM Fender Strat for about 15 years and wanted a nice upgrade. I feel like I upgraded to 5000% with this guitar, it is amazing to play!

The only thing I don't love about it is the nitro finish. It can feel slightly sticky when playing in warm or humid weather. I understand that Johnny wanted to replicate his 60's Jag so they used this finish but it's not my favorite. I baby it with the proper cleaner and polish though. The Kandy Orange is a really nice color in person, it almost looks like copper.

My guitar came expertly packed by Sweetwater and fit, finish and setup was perfect out of the box.

Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar

This guitar is now my favorite guitar. After mostly playing my American Standard Stratocaster it took a while to get used to the larger neck, but it's amazing. There are so many different sounds to be had on this. The pickups from Bare Knuckle are incredible. The improved Mustang bridge: solid. I highly recommend this guitar if you're interested in a unique, beautiful, and well-crafted offset.

Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar

I received my Jag in perfect condition, packaged so it would not likely get damaged. I love the way it plays. I particularly like that it is an American made product. I can't say enough good things about my sales rep. Nick Church, has always taken very good care of me, even though I am not what you would call a "Big Spender." He sent a complete set of pictures of my guitar, before it actually shipped. Although Sweetwater's tech did the 55 point check, I did a little adjusting on the height of the pickups, but that is to be expected for a person to setup an instrument to their own preferences.
I have never had a complaint about any of the products or service I receive from Sweetwater, and they will continue to be my GoTo supplier for my music equipment.

This is the 33rd guitar in my collection - many brands...lots of Fenders, Gibsons, PRS, Ibanez, Danelectro etc. This one is everything it's been represented to be. Lot's of tones available, great design, super sounds. Very clear and precise when clean - lots of growl and presence when overdriven. It's my first Jaguar and what a monster! I love it! Seems guitars are just getting better and better as time progresses.
