Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar Bass - Black Reviews

This is my second bass guitar. I did not have much money to spend on a bass especially since I am not a professional. This bass is just perfect. First of all the 32 inch scale is just right for my hands. I love the stacked control knobs - so easy to adjust. The neck has a nice feel to it. Of course it also sounds great - just right. I think it is a beautiful looking guitar too. Very happy.

I've had this bass guitar for about a month and slammed it around the whole time and it never shied away from playin on tune, I'm a modest player, but would recommend thid bass to ANYONE! Have fun fellow players!

I've had my jaguar for about a year and I love it

I bought this bass as my first one a couple weeks ago. I talked to the sales engineer Dave Cody and he was so nice and real with me. After I bought the bass he called to get feedback about sweetwater and we ended up talking about music for like 30 minutes! Anyway, when the bass arrived I waited over 24 hours to open it and when I did I found a crack and chip taken out in the back. This was clearly a shipping problem because the box had a big dent in it. I emailed Dave the photos and he almost immediately called me to figure out a solution. I had to talk to a few different people at sweetwater, but they were all very nice and professional and helped me get a free replacement and none of them made me feel bad about it. Within 5 days I already had my new bass without any problems at all. Also, the bass sounds amazing and is so addicting. For the replacement, I requested a lighter weight and that worked out well for me. It's really fun to play with all the different sounds it makes with the tones and pickups. I literally can't stop playing it in my free time. I highly recommend this bass and just ordering from sweetwater in general. Thank you!!

Great bass, I bought two for when my band plays live and I need to change tunings. Great Mid-entry Mid-scale bass.The only thing I didn't care for were the strings it came with, which is an easy fix. You won't be disappointed.

The quality of this instrument is amazing at this price point. I find the medium scale to be significantly easier to play than my 34" scale basses, but not as "toy-like" as a 30" scale. With a pickup and bridge upgrade this instrument may become my main bass. I had read many reveies claiming the Squiers were better than the Mexican Fenders and I have to agree. A great choice for any beginner and with a few upgrades, also for most working musicians.

Great Bass for the price.

This was my first bass purchase. Some of my decision was based off of a long-time love for the Fender Jaguar body styling, and after researching Squire's progression over the years, I picked this bass up.

Glad I did. It was easy to set up and plays very clean. The pickup variation gives a lot of flexible tones. I only intend on using this for home-jamming, and I think it mixes well so far.

While the stacked volume and tone controls are nice, I find that they can get in the way while palm-muting/picking. But that's also a style-gripe.

Overall I am happy. Until I upgrade to a 60s P-bass, this will be more than adequate.

I purchased this bass used from a local music school and to my surprise it was love at first sight for me. First I'm a guitar player and have been for 60 years; so I was curious as to how much I would like to play bass as a backup instrument. I had tried your typical Jazz bass and other Fender types but never could feel right as I have smaller hands. In fact, when I started to play guitar at 13, my teachers said that I could never develop as a good guitarist because of my small hands. So I had to prove them wrong which I did of course. I managed to surpass all of them at the time. So as to get back to my short or medium scale bass; I just love it and I just started to take slap bass lessons at our local music school.

So I would definitely recommend anyone with smaller hands to start using such an instrument. You will love it and most likely do well at it.

Theres a chip on one of the strings. But beside that all perfect, needed to intonate it too. But all perfect! :) Im still satisfied but I hope they give me pair of strings lol.
