Great neck!

Hadn't played in years so got a Toby but some positions I play were uncomfortable, Jackson's tapered neck made every position easy to play, play hard and it really sounds great!

Great bass- not much money.

This is a great playing and sounding bass guitar. Jackson is really making some nice stuff at this point. Pretty impressive that they are using graphite rods at this price. Finish work is first rate, and really nice hardware. As usual, Sweetwater provides VIP service, even when you aren't buying a VIP priced instrument. Absolutely love Sweetwater.

Great Bass!

Recently received an opportunity to play bass guitar in band. I ended up picking up this bass and I love it! Great starter for a good price!

Great bass for a great price!!

By Ravyn on August 23, 2019 Music Background: Rock, hard rock, metal, heavy metal. Writing, recording and production.

For a while I was strongly considering adding a bass to my arsenal of equipment, and after a while of looking, I found this one and could not be happier with it! As a recording artist who both plays and writes original music, it added just what my tracks needed. It has such a heavy and commanding sound. I fell in love with it the minute I played back the results after recording. Not to mention, it has already received many good comments on its overall look, feel and style, and that wicked finish doesn"t hurt either. Thank you so much to Will Newbill and to Sweetwater for your excellent service!

Good Choice

By Gary on August 24, 2022

After not having a bass for 10+ years I decided to get one again. This is a great bass for the price, it looks great and plays very well. All in all I am happy with my choice and would recommend it if you need something affordable. Sweetwater's customer service is top tier. Special shout out to my sales tech Justin Dunn, who got the order to me extremely fast and in working order.

Big sound, small price

By Scott A from Oklahoma on April 18, 2019 Music Background: Home hobbyist

This is the first bass that I have ever purchased. Previous guitar teachers mentioned to me to try a bass but I held out because of the love I have for the guitar. I held out for the longest time and now I wish I had done it earlier because this bass is a monster and so much fun to learn on and to jam on as a hobbyist. Thanks to Mike Johnson for his assistance. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because after receiving the bass I had to spend more money out of pocket to have it professionally set up. All the strings on it were at tension but laying flat on the frets making it impossible to play without fret buzz and it didn"t come with an Allen wrench to make the adjustments. Otherwise this instrument was more than worth the price of purchase.

Overall good Bass

By Johnny from Arizona on December 13, 2021 Music Background: Bass player for 32 years

Have had this Bass about a year now and learned to like it. When I received it was poorly set up and had a lot of fret buzz. It comes with a wrench to make adjustments which helped but I still have one fret spot that is unusable. This Bass is great for Metal and can play all styles really with adjustments to the EQ. For the price you can't beat it and it has killer looks too!
