Solidbody Electric Guitar with Poplar Body, Quilt Maple Top, Maple Neck, Amaranth Fingerboard, and 2 Humbucking Pickups - Transparent Black Burst

Nearly four decades of consistent production can’t be wrong: Jackson’s Dinky guitars are shred-worthy axes with options for players of all skill levels. The Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32Q DKA HT Electric Guitar combines affordability with thick, snarling tone and prodigious sustain — courtesy of its resonant, lightweight poplar body, arched quilt maple top, and two high-output humbuckers. You’ll appreciate the smooth playability of the maple speed neck, and the fully bound compound-radius fretboard is fantastic for chording down low and bending up high without fretting out. If you require a solid starter guitar or a roadworthy backup, the Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32Q DKA HT Electric Guitar is an excellent option.

Way Better Than Expected

By Joel B. from Warrenton, VA

I bought this as a backup guitar in case I broke a string during a performance. I've been using Jackson guitars for over 30 years but never bought an inexpensive one before. I had to make a minor tweak to the truss rod, then adjust the string heights and intonation - you have to do this on any guitar. The stock pickups are not very good, but I change them on any guitar I buy as I have a particular pickup combination that I really like. This thing plays as good as any of my expensive Jackson guitars and sounds the same now that it has the same pickups. The Amarinth fretboard feels much nicer than expected and, to me, feels like something between Ebony and Rosewood. It may end up being my main guitar. If you want a great guitar and don't mind putting in your own pickups, this is the guitar to get.

Wow, am impressed....

By Jonathan R. from Washington
Music Background: hobby

I bought this guitar as a way of being able to produce and nice heavy/metal sound that would be in contrast to my other guitar, a Fender Player II Strat.

On a limited budget I was going to install a new pickup on the Fender's bridge. However last week while saving up for the guitar tech to install the new pickup (Seymour Duncan Black Winter) I came across this little beauty.

I was skeptical at first, but after doing some research combined with the desire to keep the Fender stock, I decided to give this guitar a chance. At this price I wasn't expecting much glory pickup wise, but I was wrong...

I actually like the tone and the feeling of this guitar over my much more expensive LTD Eclipse which I sold off months ago. I enjoy playing this guitar as is, right out of the box. I still do think that any top shelf pickup of your choice would improve your sound even more. Different strokes for different folks, but the stock pickups are clear, creamy with distortion and also not fizzy at all.

On the other hand the action was a little high, but it was still playable. Also, this guitar came with no buzzing frets, was packed securely very well, and it stays in tune. Overall a great buy and I would recommend this guitar to anyone.

Beautiful guitar!

By Ric

Just a beginner that wanted a compound radius Jackson dinky. Guitar arrived in great condition and was packaged for maximum protection. Tuned it right up and began practicing. I can see this being my main guitar for a while before I want to try something else.

Solid 6 string

By James T. from AUSTIN, TX
Music Background: Metal

I got this about 9 or ten months ago and it has held up well. I use this with a revv g4 pedal and orange 35w amp and it jas a great metal sound.

The construction of the frets leave some to be desired, I have to really focus or I can easily go out of pitch unlike my Chapman. For the price though, it is not a big deal. Just a future project.
