My Favorite Bass
I've been playing for almost 10 years now. In my time of playing, I've been through 6 different basses, and not one even comes close to this bass. It's absolutely my go-to anytime I play. The sound is incredible, but what really makes me love it is how comfortable it is to play. I didn't even have to change anything with the setup either. It played that way out of the box, and has continued to play so beautifully now 4 years later with very little adjustment needed. This will always be my favorite instrument I own.
Fantastic bass
I've had mine for 8 months now and I love this bass. Excellent build, comfortable to play, great classic tones, pretty to look at. I was never a Fender guy but this bass (my first Fender) showed me that I have been chasing after the classic Fender tone for the last 40 years. It's been my number one ever since I got it.
Awesome Bass
I love this bass, I always get compliments not only on the looks but sound at gigs. 10/10 would recommend
Amazing value!
I've been very impressed with the quality of Fender's Player Series instruments. Of course, Sweetwater's 55-point inspection probably has something to do with their guitars not needing a thing straight out of the box besides tuning! This bass is a joy to play and it has all the classic Jazz Bass tones. I am very happy with my purchase!
Great Value
I sold Fender US products for many years and played them as well. This bass feels and sounds exactly like the US version at a great price point. As a lifetime pro player and music professor I own top quality and vintage guitars and this instrument is one that I am thrilled to play just as much.
Solid bass, great price
Bass came in like, a week. Great sound and super light. 10/10 would buy again.
Fender Jazz Bass
This jazz bass is awesome! It plays super smooth and the initial setup was perfect right out of the box. The pickups give you a lot of different tone options and the action can get really low without much fret buzz. A big thank you to Jozy at Sweetwater!
Great Guitar. Quick Shipping. Easy Set Up.
Great online experience, guitar arrived quickly was still nearly in tune. Setup didn't require much. Overall impressed. Will purchase from Sweetwater again.
Love it!
Always wanted to learn Bass so I just went for it and bought one

FANTASTIC BASS
What an awesome bass!! This is the first time I've bought an instrument online, and it was a great experience!
Great set up, great sound, and looks even better in person! Mark Bruhn was also great to work with!
Great buy!
Excellent sound and extremely comfortable. Hard to beat the quality & price on this monster. As always Tom took care of us. Definitely recommend this product.
Always wanted a Fender Jazz Bass
I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and have played bass on the side on and off. My only other bass was a $150 entry level with a warped neck that I eventually gave away because I just never enjoyed playing it. I was asked to play bass at church so I wanted to get something decent.
I know there are other good basses for the money, but Fenders always feel right. Love the tidepool color, wish I could have got it with a rosewood fretboard.
The only thing I didn't care for was the thick gloss over the maple fretboard, but not a deal breaker.
Super cool bass and like everyone says... You never get a bad Fender.
Player series are awesome.
Couldn’t be happier!
I am so pleased with the Classic Player Jazz Bass I got from Sweetwater! I was looking at much more expensive Custom Shop basses, but this one caught my eye because of it’s light weight. The sound and playability are second to none and the folks at Sweetwater are always so helpful. Thanks so much! Xoxox
Fender Need to Up the company Quality Standards
Sweetwater is a great company! The bass from fender is not worth the money. I own 5 fender bass guitars and this is the last one I will ever buy. The company need to produce better quality instruments. Fender is the first guitar company and the name should stand for that. They need to get the quality back on the guitars and build back to a higher standard again. I am going to go with another brand on my next purchase. I Truly was disappointed on this one. The color is great, but the build was very bad for the money. I have a cheap Harley Benson 75JB bass that cost 1/3 of this fender Play jazz bass that is built better. Fender just need to put quality back in the product!! You should not have to paid a lot of money for a guitar that need work when you get it. FENDER GET CONTROL OF THE QUALITY CONTROL!!
It’s a gamble
It was ok at first, now it's unplayable. There's just too many issues with it and it slowly got worse over just the short time I've owed it.
