Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass, Left-handed - Black Reviews
First introduced in 1960, the Jazz Bass has withstood the test of time to become one of the most played and recorded instruments in modern music history. As roundwound strings and brighter bass sounds became popular in the 1970s, a number of modifications were made to the J Bass to accommodate the changing tastes in music production; most notably, maple fingerboards and a back pickup moved closer to the bridge. The Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass captures this funky vibe in an incredibly affordable instrument with the classic J Bass offset-waist body, fast-action neck, and dual single-coil pickups. Squier's Classic Vibe '70s J Bass is remarkably comfortable to play and lets you pull off extremely tight runs and grooves with ease. Of course, it also delivers the legendary punchy bass sound you can only get from a pair of Jazz Bass pickups.

surprisingly high quality
I've owned a few different Fender products over the years. My first was a 90s era Mexican Stratocaster, and then I got a 2005 Japanese Strat and also a 2008 Japanese Tele. A few months ago I got a Players series precision bass and I must say...when I close my eyes it's hard to tell that this Squire jazz bass is $400 cheaper than the players series. Squire's reputation has gone from cheap junk to reliable gigging quality. I'm pleasantly surpised with the product that I received at this price, and I barely had to set it up to get it to a playable state. New strings and a few adjustments and this thing is good to go.
Superb bang for the buck!
Playability: Great, after a few normal adjustments and tweaks to the setup, the bass feels great. Classic '70's tone was notice immediately. To top it off, It's a very cool looking bass at a great bass! If they would only do this model in a lefty 5 string bass.........
