Well worth the wait!
Ordered at the end of September, received it in early December. All along the way I had emails from Sweetwater staff letting me know the status of when Fender was saying they would receive them in stock. My sales engineer was fantastic and I absolutely LOVE the idea that he is there for me if I need questions answered.
The bass itself is fantastic! Gorgeous woodgrain showing through the transparent sunburst finish. No issues whatsoever with it. It was even in tune right out of the packaging. The tone is pure classic jazz bass, which is what I was hoping for. This will be my primary bass from now on, and I'm looking forward to many years of rocking this bass!

Swapped it after trying a Sire P10. Sire was good but I couldn't adapt to the multi radius neck. There were other personal taste issues that made me decide to get the fender. The neck was more shallow and uniform, making a 5 string more manageable for me. the Fender is more of a pocket bass, and that is more my style. Construction is great, VERY SOLID, only wish the pickups were hum cancelling. I will make that change.

I ordered this as a backup and for certain older songs we play. The neck is way too wide compared to my Schecter studio 5. the noise from this was unacceptable and just did not sound right ( Active verses passive ) and the weight and size was too much.
