MiA! It’s the only choice.

Love this bass. Had it a week or so…plays great!

Best of the best, Fender American Pro Two

By Sweetwater Customer on June 21, 2023

This instrument is way above the rest of the bass guitar world. I have been playing professionally, bass and guitar for 60 years. I have played all kinds of basses from Alembic, to Warwick, to Spector. All of them are fantastic. But it really comes down to what kind of a feel it has in the neck, which is incredible on the Pro 2. It is perfect for me. That's what it all about. Everyone is different when it comes to an individual instrument and if it inspires you, and lets you produce the sonic you're looking for. What works for me is not necessarily going to work for you. Find out what works best for your hands, then buy that product if it inspires.

Absolutely Amazing!

By Jay Edward from Muncie IN on May 8, 2023 Music Background: Guitar and bass player

I have heard people say these American professional II's are no better than the MiM fenders and I seriously disagree. I have a MiM precision bass and while yes it's a good bass, it is not at the level of this bass. The fret work on this model is superb, the satin feel of the neck is slick and comfortable, the roasted pine body is just plain gorgeous and most importantly, the pick ups are KILLER SOUNDING!!!

My go to bass!

This is my go to bass! Sounds great, looks amazing! Also very light weight and well made. I only buy American Fenders. The quality is much better than the Mexican made.

A great bass for smaller hands

By Sweetwater Customer from Washington, DC on December 27, 2021

If you're like me and have shorter fingers and smaller hands, this bass could be the one for you. The Slim C neck and 1.5" wide nut is perfect for me. I don't feel like I'm trying to get my hand around a thick baseball bat like other basses out there. A sure shoulder-saver, it's lightweight with mine coming in at just a few ounces over 8 pounds. It's also a well-balanced instrument in that the headstock doesn't take a nosedive if you let go of the neck. Sound-wise, it's a solid performer. My only complaint is how the volume controls have a point where turning down the volume is drastic instead of nice and gradual. Along with the drop in volume, there's an audible drop in tone, too, which is disappointing for such an expensive bass. Overall, I'm very pleased with the instrument. It was expertly setup and plays great right out of the box.

Beware of this bass!

By "Screamin J. Freeman" from Calif. Utah on May 13, 2021 Music Background: First lessons at 11 years old took a few years off and now trying to catch up! Bass is the place to B.

Purchased this bass from a local store because Sweetwater did not have it in stock and still does not have it in stock, that's OK. Sweetwater is great, my guy is Ryan and he is great as well. This bass is NO better than any of my FOUR MiM Fenders. My Yamaha BB434 is MUCH better all the way around, hands down better. $1900.00 down the drain. I will sell this in about two years and maybe recover most of my money. I put it away in storage so it won't get damaged. The only good thing about this bass was the case, it is great! Fender is selling their name. Name only. I will sell ALL my Fenders and buy Yamaha, Schecter, Ibanez and anything but Fender. Sorry but If you want great sound in a Fender buy a MiM ad some flatwounds get it set up buy sweetwater WOW, then go kick some bootie! Bass rocks!

I am a 68 year old geezer been playing for over 50 years, I am just so disappointed I don't want others to find out the hard way like I did. Try a Yamaha...You will be surprised. Just sayin!
