Named after a tune on Joe's classic, Surfing with the Alien, the Ice 9 overdrive pedal is the fourth collaboration between the guitarist extraordinaire and one of England's premier amp makers. In "Vintage" mode, the Ice 9 uses a special op-amp and premium diodes to conjure sounds reminiscent of overdrive pedals of the days of yore. In "Modern" mode, a germanium diode offers up an aggressive overdrive. Want a little bit more? The aptly named "More" button kicks in a 14dB boost, perfect for solos.
