Peavey astounds with the IPR2 5000 power amplifier, which is part of the exciting IPR Series. Peavey somehow managed to not only make the IPR Series super-powerful in terms of wattage but also incredibly lightweight, in fact, the lightest in the IPR Series weighs less than seven pounds! The IPR2 5000 features two channels with independent, 100Hz crossovers. Plus, there's a variable-speed fan housed in its lightweight aluminum chassis. In addition to thermal efficiency and reliability, there's also Peavey's DDT speaker-protection circuitry built into the Peavey IPR2 5000.

Killer
Can"t beat the price or performance. I use this on highs, an ipr2 5000 on mids, and cs4080 on subs. Use them 3-5 times per week, 4-10 hrs at a time. Owned this rig for 5 years and it"s a money maker. If you"re not trying to fulfill rider, you just can"t beat this for return on investment. Love my Peavey rig.
Excellent Amp
Purchased this amp to power my over the top Bass guitar rig. Cabs hold (top cab) 2 x 12" and 4 x 10" with horn and bottom has 2 15"'s. Both cabs at 4 ohms. This amp rocks. While it isn't quite a CS-4080 it isn't far behind at 1/3 the weight.
Disappointed
Purchased to use on subs in stereo mode, one side didn't work...sent it back to Sweetwater, no problem they shipped me a replacement. The second amp arrives...same problem....one side not working. Hooked up my old GPS3500 and the subs kicked again, I will be returning this one for a refund. Really disappointed! I would have given it a "0" rating had one been available.

I own six ipr2-5000, two ipr2-3000 and two ipr2-7500. I love the efficiency of these amps. I ran two ipr2-5000 per 15A breaker for a during a 12hr show. Each ipr2-5000 was used (2 ohms per ch) to ran four double 18" lows (100hz to 40hz). The two ipr2-7500 was used (2 ohms per ch) to ran four double 21" subs (40hz to 30hz). All amps stayed cool. no breakers trip during the concert. the best money ever spent .

I waited for several years for two of these amplifiers to replace four of my amps. Each IPR2 5000 amp in stereo mode - replaced two of my Mackie M1400i amps in bridged mode. The Peavey amps weigh a total of 30 pounds and the Mackie amps weigh a total of 132 pounds. I can sell the old amps and get this upgrade for free. I also wanted to point out that the guts of the IPR2's are mounted "upside down" which keeps the components cleaner and they have 5 year warranties too. I really am Blown Away by these amps.
