.009-.042 Light Superalloy Electric Guitar Strings

Thomastik-Infeld Infeld electric guitar strings are artisan crafted using a superalloy wrap wire to deliver brightness, definition, output, and clarity where other strings may fail. This boost in tone and perceived loudness yields greater signal to noise, making Infeld strings a sound investment for pedal users and stage players who run long lengths of cable. Like all Thomastik-Infeld strings, the Infeld sets are created with longevity in mind; they’re able to stand up to nightly practice and performance (under normal conditions) without dropping tuning or leeching tone. Whether you’re a pedal user, downtuner, or just a player looking for maximum cut from your favorite 6-string electric, Thomastik-Infeld Infeld strings from Sweetwater are an option worth checking out.

The best strings

By Tim from Hudson Falls, NY

These strings are my new favorites. I've used them all from Slinky, to Roto, to NYXL, to Optima 24K gold/silver plated, to you name it. These strings are fantastic. The feel is pure silk. The tension feels light. They feel smaller than they are. But the best part is the sound. They're super clear with tons of bite, but yet somehow they don't sound overly bright. I was a big fan of Optima 24K gold, but they sound too bright on most guitars and wear fast. Where as these are perfect, and durable. I play for hours. My favorite part about these is that they don't have a skinny end, like many wound strings do. I got them for my 1966 Fender Coronado II, which has the original Dearmond pickups, and the magnetism has dropped a tad bit, and these strings really put the bite in them without being too bright. I will put these on my Firebird now too, as these don't have the skinny tail. With a reverse Firebird the Low E string is the furthest from the bridge, and most strings like NYXL leave you a skinny tail end, and you'd have to start winding around the post on the skinny tail part, but not these. They're the same thickness from end to end. My new favorite strings!
