Everything I needed as a beginner guitarist

By Spencer Whipple from Georgia on December 16, 2021 Music Background: Guitarist of 8 years, piano 2 years

This was my first amp, got one in 2015. As a beginner to electric guitar i remember having so much fun plugging in my epiphone les paul 100 and turning it all the way to the OD 2 setting. Worked great for my 8th grade talent show, where I played Stairway to Heaven ( and won). Still use this and record using it. I have yet to even use the software for creating tones, this amp can do so much.

Perfect

By Martin Toohill from Utah on December 4, 2021

I had not purchased an amp for myself in 40 years. Recently retired, I bought a new Gretsch guitar and needed a new amp. This was perfect for my needs, and I mean perfect. Very 21st century, with an array of features and sounds that suit my needs for a good practice amp. 40 watts gives it enough muscle, especially for its small size. Blackstar was new to me, but I've been impressed with the quality overall. My only complaint is their use of an old-style USB cable (mini-A); it comes with the amp, but if I ever need to replace it, these are impossible to find. And I have tried.

Highly recommend.

Great practice amp

By Jeff on September 1, 2021 Music Background: Solo Singer/Guitarist

Great amp for studio or living room practice. Not super loud, but holds it's own.
Great editing software to make it sound the way you want for any guitar, and pretty cool effects built in.

Way more than a practice amp!

By Chicago Jazz from 0I81 on January 30, 2021 Music Background: Learning block C chord

I use the icCorev3 20 for DI daw recording. It was so surprisingly good. I'm mean really good. Friends with Telecasters, Stratocasters, Starcasters, 335's,
Lp's etc...WYHIWYH (what you hear is what you hear). I am happy that I was born 65 years ago cause if it were any sooner I might not have had an opportunity to own this amp. Saves money by not having to buy another multi effects board, Blackstar Architecture covers that base nicely. Hook it up,load it up,wrap it up. That simple. I am going to practice my Block "C" Chord more often now that it's sounds fantastically magical. An honest amp well worth the money!! Seriously!

Great little amp that doesn't sound small!

By Timothy Waller from Jacksonville, FL on January 4, 2024

Right out of the box I got some pretty good tones using the presets, this is a smaller light weight amp but you wouldn't know from the way it sounds!
I have not had a chance to play around with all the features, but so far so good!

Disappointing

By Tim Hunt from Alum Creek, WV on December 31, 2021

I had high hopes for this amp. I've been wanting to do stereo for a while and thought it would be a killer amp to take to my buddy's house for jams. Straight out of the gate the clean tones were very brittle. The only way to adjust treble and bass eq is with the software. No problem right? The USB cable needed is an older version and I was going to go buy one until I realized the hoops you have to jump through to download the free software. I really didn't feel like going to the trouble of registering an amp that I'm on the fence about keeping (you even have to ptovide them with an
e-receipt). The wide stereo is a bit underwhelming given the hype on the demos, and the drive sounds were not to my liking.
I'm sending it back. I have an ht5 that I love the clean tones on -I really had my hopes up. Not for me.
