Thanks to its radical shape, the Iceman has long been one of Ibanez's most spotlight-ready models, so much so that Paul Stanley of the band Kiss has favored it for the bulk of his decades-long career. The Ibanez Iceman IC420FM is a prime example of this head-turning solidbody electric guitar. Carved from a solid slab of okoume, the IC420FM includes an attention-grabbing flamed maple top and a 3-piece set-in okoume neck, which gives it a brilliant, sustaining acoustic tone with truckloads of bite. Its Super 80 humbuckers are genuine scorchers, arming you with a bright PAF-inspired sound and enough output to give your amplifier a good spanking. This photogenic axe's performance-ready hardware consists of a Gibraltar Performer fixed bridge, a Quik Change III tailpiece, and Ibanez tuners. Gleaming gold hardware and a light-catching gloss polyurethane finish round out the inimitable Iceman IC420FM.

Gorgeous guitar, great fit and finish. Sounds and plays fantastic with absolutely no modifications needed. I've played and owned them all and this guitar is a great value and sounds as good (if not better) than my Gibson Les Paul.
The Perfect Iceman
I've wanted an Iceman for a long time and when this came out, I had to have it. I thought it looked great in the photos, but it's even more beautiful in person. It plays and sounds awesome and only required a minimum set up out of the box. Its weight is also surprisingly light, so playing a long time while standing is a breeze. This is definitely one of my favorite guitars that I own.
Great guitar - exceeds expectations
I love this guitar. I have played an Ibanez Iceman for about 25 years. I have a vintage 1978 model (on the right in photo). I have wanted a new one for ages (so I don't have to play the old one, which is in rough shape). When I saw the IC420 release, I was hopeful but skeptical (made in China). I ordered a demo model and have been playing it now for several days. I could not be happier. It plays great and feels just like the vintage version in my hands. The pickups sound great and it stays in tune. Excellent quality all the way around. A great value at this price. A huge thanks to Ian my awesome Sales Engineer!
