Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat, 12-string Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural with Walnut Fingerboard
Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat, 12-string Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural with Walnut Fingerboard Reviews
Based on the favorite '60s Fender acoustic guitar of Rancid's Tim Armstrong, Fender's Tim Armstrong Hellcat 12-string acoustic is a true signature instrument with all the detailed visual appointments that make Tim's original guitar iconic. Fender keeps the vibe of Armstrong's time-tested axe but gives it a touch of modern flair and style, captured in the pearl acrylic Hellcat logos on the third, fifth, and seventh frets and double-skulls at the 12th fret. Thanks to its solid-mahogany top and mahogany back and sides, the Tim Armstrong Hellcat 12-string sounds fantastic unplugged — great for jams in the backyard or on the beach. And when you're ready to plug in, you'll find an onboard Fishman Tim Armstrong preamplifier with a built-in tuner, kicking out solid amplified acoustic tone.
Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat 12 string
One of the easiest playing and giving you full rich tones and is the sweetest 12 string I've ever played. After a simple trus rod adjustment out of the box and the action is now ridiculously low with no buzz and plays with ease even playing bar chords. so happy with the way it sounds after 4 months I haven't even plugged it in yet. Up there with my Gibson and Martin. Fender really got it right with this one. A lot of guitar for the price.
Unique 12-string!
Love it. Well made and sounds great. The all-mahogany body softens the sound a bit, and I switched the strings for all-nickel Retro's. Tweaked the truss rod a bit and sanded down the saddle to make the action exactly how I like it. The maple neck looks and feels excellent. Now I just need to find an appropriate case.
Hellcat
I've been playing a 12 string for more then 50 years. I have 3 right now. Another fender and a Martin
I play them once in a while. But this hellcat is the best sound of all. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
TIM ARMSTRONG 12 STRING

This guitar sounds great, i play mostly in open drone tunings, and the harmonics ring out nicely. Love the neck, the entire guitar feels good. My only criticism is the fishman EQ, which sounds a bit brittle ( especially the treble ), and unbalanced. To my ears it sounds much better with the EQ turned entirely down, this sounds more natural and even. I then run it through a tube preamp and this solves the lacking EQ. Other than the fishman issue i think this is an excellent and beautiful guitar, well worth the price, in fact, it sounds much better than many other higher priced acoustic guitars.
